what is the Hardest Game you have ever played?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It can be arcade, computer, any platform. I cannot remember the last "Hard" game I played. But perhaps you guys have some. And don't just say Halo on legendary. Thats hard but thats because you made it harder. I am talking about games that through first time through, you wanted to get help or went to go train some skill.

Mario 64 was kinda hard. Especially since the star descriptions were pretty vague and having to get 100 coins in some areas was painful.

Tomb Raider 1 still have yet to complete it without level skiping and ive had it for 10 years.

I haven't had a hard game, although I use Expert, they are still not mega hard. I'd say the most difficult game I ever played would be...Jeez, I dunno. :-k

Oh wait, FF dawn of souls, had no point to it and I died in ten minutes. :x But when I figured it out I beat it. :D After that, never had a problem.

Star wars for the original gameboy was really hard as you coldn't save the game and only had ten lives, i played it for about two hours and i dont think i came close to completing it, and you don't even get a lightsaber until ages into the game.

hmm, i dont know, possibly advance wars dual strike, mission 11?? lol

Ikaruga, haven't played it but it's meant to be a really hard game and one of the few games that you get better at by mastering rather than being tutorialed through it, basically lots of enemies, you have 2 modes you can switch to and from at will, one made makes you invincible to some enemies, the other mode to others, so you have to switch perfectly or die

Other than that I have nightmares trying to beat some of the old classic shareware games for PC or games for the NES.

The Donkey Kong minigames in the N64 game. I had tried to beat it all the way through but still can't. Haven't tried again in months, but don't feel like spending hours on that kind of game :P

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Last year I got stuck on a campaign mission in Advance Wars 1 (the second tougher campaign once you beat the first one), and haven't been able to beat that mission since, no matter how many different ways I go about it. Got to capture 13 bases in what seems like 5 rounds when all I got is about two infantry, one copter, and the enemy has bombers :wall:

On the topic of handhelds I had a * of a time trying to beat the 'last boss' (mission) on Finaly Fantasy Tactics advance.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pitty too, damn Gameboy SP got stolen before I could beat her with the game in it. :cry:

Yes, most NES or games around that time were really hard, mainly because you couldn't save your progress. You pretty much had to beat the game in one sitting. It was extremely frustrating spending hours to get to the last level only to get a game over and start over again.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I bought Contra 3 for SNES on my Wii the other day and my brother and I have spent a ton of time on it and we haven't really even gotten that far because it's hard to get motivated after spending all of that time only to get a game over and start over again, so we usually just quit. Granted these games don't take 50 hours to complete like some games these days, but it's still a lot for one sitting until you master the game.

sonic, I couldn't beat it as a kid.

Tribes: Aerial Assault for the ps2. I could never beat those last few missons. I'm also finding GOD2 challenging right now but not too hard.

the commandos games were pretty silly iirc.. my cousin had em and found them practically impossible.

Definatly runescape, to get 99 in everything is very hard, so i'd say it's the hardest game i've played.

Thats not hard, thats time consuming. There is a large difference.

Arguably, making the time to play so long is hard, also to keep yourself going, when the going gets tough.

Anybody who quits when the going gets tough should find almost any game to be hard. Runescape is definitely not the hardest game.

Hardest game i've played recently was Crash Bandicoot: Twinsanity. No other game got me so mad that I put it in the microwave when I finally beat it >.>
