Myridden
I had a dream about this one girl I liked. In my dream I was going to ask her out and she was going to say "I just wanna be friends". And I asked her out in real life and she said that she justs wants to be friends. "I am free of all prejudices. I hate every one equally." -W. C. StrOwez
I have a dream nearly every day  My most remembered dream; is when I was being accused of stealing in my dream of something but I never. And i was grabbed on the leg by some scary homeless guy, who said i stole something but i kept telling him i never. He never let go so i woke up in sweat :uhh: A friend to all is a friend to none. Rebdragon
Before anyone says something, let's make sure to leave "inappropriate" dreams off this thread kiddies :P . Me, I pretty much never have dreams nowadays. It's just pure black for five hours :-w . Adam007
Dreams are amazing. I really recommend to everyone that you keep a dream journal and write down what you dreamed about every time you wake up. You'll remember literally 10x more dreams because they usually fade away from your memory moments after waking up unless you immediately write them down, and then when you reread your journal it's like viewing a dream photo album. Anyway, my best dreams have been lucid ones. My favorites have been one when I was flying somewhat dragonball z style with friends around some city, a few different ones where I was floating around in space and there were cosmic looking beautiful waves of these colors that I've never really seen or experienced outside of those dreams. I also enjoy ones I've had when I was younger when I would get a new pet puppy or something like that. Dreams where I talk with deceased relatives are great too, because for that brief period of time, it feels 100% real and is extremely comforting being able to talk to them, and they say the exact things I would expect them to. Dreams are amazing not only for the experience, but I do think they're psychologically healing as well.
Randox
Ya, unless you keep a jornal for awhile, most dreams are forgoten as soon as you become fully conscious (normaly a couple minutes). Lucid dreams are always interesting, the hardest part I have with lucid dreaming is it takes me considerable effort and self control to not wake up. Still Lucid dreams are well worth the effort if you get a nice long one, flying is really quite fun, havent been able to add bodyparts though, im not even sure if the human mind can simulate extra parts, like limbs and eyes. The only problem is sometimes you end up being conscious during the paralisis that occurs upon a normal awakening, and I can tell you it is unplesent and you can end up with quite disturbing halucinations during that phase :ohnoes:

Nedich
I once had a dream I was in the trenches in World War 1, I was charging the enemy but fell head first into a load of barbed wire. The wire was so high I was almost stood up straight. I was struggling to move when machine gun bullets started tearing horizontally through the fields towards me. I almost got out but was still snagged. The bullets completely tore my body to pieces and I watched (in third person) as bits of flesh and blood were ripped from by body. The remainder of my body (torso etc) lay snagged and slumped on the wire, I then woke up screaming. Interesting to remember it :-$, but certainly nightmares are much more fun! pandaownage
Me, I pretty much never have dreams nowadays. It's just pure black for five hours :-w . I have a dream nearly every day  Trivia Time :) Actually it is not possible to "not" have a dream, you always have one. Sure you may think that you didn't have one, but you did. You just can't remember it. Also did you know that dreams only take 5 seconds, but they seem so long :D Now that useless knowledge you will never use time is over back on topic: I had a dream that one time i was being chased by Kirby and these 2 bats. One was red and the other blue. I had to hide in a car on the top of a mountian point(the car was balancing on the point) While the car was up there I looked down to see two red and blue spots flying around in the city below :-k

Continuum
I love how all my most brilliant ideas come from my dreams. I'm working on a book called "O Abram!", which is, in all modesty, a damn good book so far.
Abyssalwhip
Did you watch day after tomorrow recently? Your name is "bet you fail", and you're starting a business with your mom? I'm not even going to touch that.....
WutangFlu
i like the ones that are uber-realistic... The kind were theres a demon of some sort sitting on your chest and you cant move, and yet you can feel the pressure of it laying upon you. I use to have these alot, you could feel it claws almost.. every so often i get them again, but i laugh when im in the dream.. Also, had a good one a few years ago, still remember it. it was an apocalypse kinda thing. Nuke going off and such. I knew the world was going to end so i set off to see loved ones before the world came to an end... very much full of solace. :]

killersushipunk
I'm stuck in a school in North Korea, and they are trying to kill me. A 17 year old Che Guevara comes and saves me. In dream world, nobody had ever seen Che before and a crowd gathers. We have a concert. Best dream evar. I used to have a link to my school's project to provide fresh water to a Kenyan Village, but the sig police changed the link to say something, which, if followed, leads to an "ahem" adult website. Let me ask you. Which do you think is worse?
Flametrooper
Let's see. What do I remember that's appropriate... "Weirdest" prize: I, and my whole family, in fact, were postal deliverers, or couriers. We delivered packages to houses. This went on for a while...there was one where it was in the early morning and we saw the sunrise and I can remember the exact picture and I could feel the predawn chill and everything...then later it was all dark and stuff, and someone said something about sometimes you walk in the darkness where there is no light, and then I woke up like, "What the hell was that about?" Another one: walking down a canyon full of all sorts of freaky stuff, like a sign saying, "Here ends the sun", and some fallen trees with disposable cameras under them, a tree chopped nearly in half but still growing, other stuff I can't remember. Then climbing out, hand over hand along the canyon wall, slipping and falling...but I woke up before I died. Sometimes I dream about a certain girl, wake up all like, "Yesss! She said she'd go out with me! I can't wait to get to school and see her and...oh wait..." I did have an inappropriate dream once, the first and only of that sort, which is probably another one of those annoying signs of puberty. At least I didn't make a mess in the bed. Once I dreamed about driving a car, another time about drinking wine. My brain takes two things I can't do yet (well, if you look above, three), and visualizes them, i guess. And don't forget the ones where I can fly. Those rock.

Details are near impossible to remember, but for about five minutes after I've woken up, I still remember foggy details, and know when I've had a dream. Plenty of dreams from my youth, especially the scary ones, I always remember. One I had when I was five where I looked out the second story window, and saw a giant serpentine dragon looking me right in the face. I've never forgotten that after over a decade, and every detail of the dream is crystal clear (there was lighting, dark clouds, it was windy, trees were blowing left and right, I was in my own house in my room in the dream, the dragon was dark green and it's neck was arched down towards me as it went around to the side of the house towards my window, it was higher than my house, need I go on?). I also never forgot that my little brother was born in that year o_O. Anyways, I get a dream maybe once a week usually, but not often. Where's the source for your point that we have a dream every single night, or that we forget our dreams? Does it have any good evidence and/or support? Blue_Eggz
Remember dreams = recite them right when you wake up. Say it out loud and it'll stick or it runs away easy. My most memorable dream is building a house with my father in Phoenix. Then I got poisoned and ran to the doctor and still survived O:) and there's also the occasional wet dream

You just don't know that you had them. To answer your question that we know everyone dreams, we do know that everyone goes through REM sleep, which is where dreams take place. Idk whether or not that's a good enough reason for you or not though. But I do still stand firm in saying we forget most of our dreams. I often will have a dream and want to remember it and plan to write it down, but when I grab the paper and start writing already most of the dream faded away that fast. @panda: I've heard that dreams actually are realtime. I will admit that I forget nearly all of my dreams. Nontheless, after I wake up I remember I had one vaguely, and throughout the day I remember not the dream, but the five minutes after I woke up when I was trying to recap the dream. Basically, I remember my remembering the dream, and thus I remember I had a dream (I do not remember the dream itself, just that I had it). Maybe I don't get what you're saying, I dunno, but I don't feel convinced that we have to have a dream every single night :| . I remember reading in a given night most people do have 5-6 dreams, and we're lucky to remember one of them. Here's some sites I just found saying this: http://www.faqs.org/faqs/dreams-faq/par ... ion-5.html http://www.dreamdoctor.com/faq.shtml Not saying they're the ultimate authority or reputable, just that I found them on the top of a quick google search. Might have been a bad wording on my part; I would mean to say "We don't forget that we had a dream." I'm not sure if those sites refute what I'm saying though; they mostly talk about dream recall and REM sleep. Does REM sleep mean that we have to have a dream every night? Me, not only do I not get a ton of sleep, but I'm not a very emotional person either. I just don't think I'm the typical person to get lots of dreams every night; I still feel it's possible for me to sleep without having a dream. SuperNova
Normally I don't remember my dreams that often.. But there is an exception about this one really stupid dream I had like.. Last week. I dreamt the me and my cousin, Melissa, Just came out of the gym from playing basket ball and we got so far down the hall and we looks up one of them and seen these three idiots in Spider-Man costumes and they chased us all around the school. I have no idea what it means.. But it was a hell of a story to tell me friends the next day. Melissa, Especially got a kick out of it.
