This is a Pretty stupid question but how do people make enough for Party Hats? I have read many guides, I can see making maybe 30m or so if your decaded. But the price tags on party hats i dont see how people do it, Thats a lot of merching, Barrows, or skilling..

Most own a Rare before they were Rare. Super Old School players.

In my opinion Party hats are now unnatainable to anybody that doesnt own one, or already has alot of cash / smaller rare from merchanting

When the demand will be too low we might have a party hat crash, some people will think that party hats will stop selling steady forever and start to sell at lower prices, everybody else seeing it that hasnt recently sold a hat will start panicking and selling too.. then nobody (except maybe Duke Freedom) know what will happen.

I'm guessing someone could Runecraft 1-2 months and gain enough money in order to buy a purple one. I also read the blog of someone who did barrows in order to buy a red phat, so it is possible, even with the actual prices.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In all cases, from scratch, I'd say a lot of determination and 1-2 months of hard working. But atleast it's possible, wait until the cheapest becomes 300M, there will be no hope to obtain it anymore.

Well, when you double nats, you make about 110 nats a run ~ Thats 36k ish.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You can easily run about 50-70 trips an hour with all the best skills, mining, theif etc, and a high level of agility. Thats about 5-6k an hour, if you're a veteran. ( I might ask H Rassy how many does).

And even more if you were at a mates house and he/they can carry ess for you, you double it, and keep it - Hey presto, even more moolah.

agreed, staking is the best money maker in rs by far. You can make millions and millions a day if you have the right stats

the majority of people who own party hats right now have had them for a long time when prices were lower. But alot of people get money from DKing, Merchanting, Crafting Natures and Staking.

I'd agree that most people make their money to buy rares from staking, double nat crafting or merchanting, all previously mentioned.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But it's still no easy task and will require a lot of time, of course. I'd also agree that most people already had rares before any major price increases, like me. :XD:

I hear people DK and make Nats to get partyhats you can get one if u REALLY out your mind to it i will maybe get one someday when hell frezzes over

yea when i was making this post i was not even thinking of staking, that would be the most obvious way considering you could do a 1m-x amount stake and instantly win millions instead of chopping mages, making nats, or any other skill that takes a load of time and dedication, but of course staking isn't always the easiest thing, getting the right stats and no matter how good you are at it you always worrie about losing what you gambled, well thanks for the input everyone, you all gave good information, i didn't start playing runescape until October 31,2005 i remember that date because my cousin was the one who showed me runescpae halloween night after halloween horror nights at unviersal, so i made my account then. Oh yea staking make TONS of money i watched a video by uncut angel of his stakings or whatever it was amazing they made like 10bil a day maybe....Its crazy but the risk is more than you could imagine.

Or, many high level players build up their bank over time. For example, maybe they bought several lower priced rares, and their bank literally doubled, because of the rare price. (Back around this time, '06, you could buy a santa for around 8-10m).

Thanks for the complement on 99 wc, i put a lot of dedication into it, but seeing that 99 everytime i log on and that cape around my neck was well worth the time it took. Now i just need a trim right? :P

i say taht phats really are just for merchanting u bearly find a person just wearing one these days.

true i don't usually see someone wearing a party hat unless i am in world 2 buying or selling something but i do seldom see a few people with party hats. Thanks for all the input :D

definately merchanting or staking. There is a vid from some person on these forums that made 100 mill in a month by merching barrows armor.

its easy said, money is everything in runescape, most players dont care about stats, they want money to make it easyer same with phats, dont have money, cant get. i tried to get a red as i lost mine in 2002 but they keep rising and everytime i get 3m it gets hacked, which is annoying.... :x

after a month of barrows , my friend was able to buy a yellow phat, with about 20mill spare, which isnt bad, also gaining alot of mage levels. barrows or Dk seems to be the best, or a really gd pure/staker

You can, do barrows 1k times, dk x amount of times (not sure how many) or the good old favorite craft natures until your fingers can't move :

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A PartyHat can be gotten in around a year or so or even less if some one were a great merchant, there not impossible just hard to get.

You could also raise your magic lvl to 82+ (didn't check if it already was) then start staking in ancients. You already have 80-ish defence, for many kinds of staking it's not good, but for mage staking it's an advantage. \

Lol..? 365 X 500k = 182M, how dose 182M get you a phat? A phat is around 250M-450M (or so)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also, 20M+ stakes are only good if you are 100+ level and are hard to come by and pretty risky if you lose.
