i know i already asked this question, but due to the small response of 2 pages, i am asking again. Do you wear braces and/or a retainer? If so why? I have to get braces soon to get my 2 front teeth together and i need a retainer to move my lower jaw up. Total of $5600 canadian. Hehe. what about you? :thumbsup: \

No, but the dentist hasn't invited me over in a while :mrgreen: So I don't know if I need one.

 

 

 

Needless to say, I brush, floss, mouthwash myself two times a day so I 'm hoping I don't need one.

Question: What other possible reason is there for wearing braces other than fixing your teeth?

Nope never have had them and hopefully never will. I don't drink anything besides water and milk so I think that helps. And I have pretty straight teeth so I think I'm okay.

now that i am 18 i really don't feel like wearing braces for 2 years lol. my teeth are straight anyway, just have an overbite and my top choppers are a bit too spaced out

 

 

 

hoping when the wisdom teeth come in they fix that

On topic, I had a retainer and never used it for 5 years. It never fit correctly because they used the wrong imprint of my mouth. >_>;

 

 

 

So then I had a different retainer. Why did I do it? It was cemented to my mouth. =x

Seriously though, that is the stupidest question I have ever heard. There is no other reason besides "My teeth need to be fixed."

I don't wear braces nor do I plan on getting them. My bottom teeth are kind of crooked but my top teeth are fine so it's not worth the money. I will have to get my wisdom teeth cut out of my gums which is something I'm definitely not looking forward too. Oh well...

I had braces for 21 months through junior high to fix my effed up bottom teeth. They're still fine but I haven't worn my retainer in over a year, so they're sloooowly getting crooked again =X

Yeah, I had them fixed January 2006. I'm removing em this year in June or something. Then I'm stuck with those clear retainers.

I have a stupid, annoying, and stubborn tooth that doesn't wan't to come out so YIPPE SURGERY TIME FOR ME ! I'm getting braces right after it because I want better looking teeth. Dentist said the braces aren't needed.

Yeah, I remember finding out the tooth underneath one of my baby teeth was going sideways and not down. My options were surgery and ice-cream for a week, or braces for 4 years.

 

 

 

I said to the dentist: "So, is this the anaesthetic?!"

I had a problem just like that. In junio high my adult canine teeth were growing out above my baby ones, not down like they normally do (yeah, i had two sets of canines on my top half, one on top of the other :? ). God I couldnt smile for months until my braces fixed em.
