Spiked Warhammers?

I've been wondering, poison can only be used on daggers and spears, so why not enforce more attatchments for weapons. I was thinking, you could clip [bleep]es to the ends of my warhammer, dealing extra damage. It would give a bonus in strength, but would weigh more. To [bleep]e warhammers, you would have to hunt an animal (not sure which) to get the claws. You then would make a steel clip. (Requires 36 Smithing and 1 steel bar). Use the clip on the claws, and you will get clipped claws. Use it on a warhammer of a metal of your choice. Then the warhammer will become, for example Bronze Warhammer (sp)

I have 2 Idea how this would inflict damage.

Idea 1:

When adding [bleep]es to warhammers, the [bleep]es would give a percentage bonus, making your hit more powerful.

Bronze([bleep]ed) 3% Bonus

Iron ([bleep]ed) 5% Bonus

Steel ([bleep]ed) 7% Bonus

Black ([bleep]ed) 10% Bonus

Mithril ([bleep]ed) 13% Bonus

Addy ([bleep]ed) 15% Bonus

Rune ([bleep]ed) 18% Bonus

Idea 2:

Like poison, it would deal damage seperately from your original hit. The "blob" of damage would be grey. And hit whatever number ranging from 0-10.

Ill add pictures later, of both the damage "blob" and the [bleep]ed warhammer.

Any comments/constructive criticism?

Wouldn't it also look a bit like the meat tenderiser from RFD?

i call it a mace!

I quote him for that reason ::'

There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,

and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. That

regret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new,

better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret.

It's experience.

This wouldn't drastically change combat, warhammers are seldom used as it is, this could make them more desirable as a crush weapon, although I'd make it so that the Warhammers would require one more bar when smithed and a higher smithing level, attaching [bleep]es seems silly to me.

As for it being like a mace, as far as stats go, this would swap the prayer bonus for more attack and strength, also they have different speeds I think.

The only way to really give this tool a lasting effect is if it was a f2p weapon (it could be quite effective against somebody in rune plate and legs) and for p2p a dragon version with a decent special.

How about introducing the weapon into the game, while at the same time making it untradeable? Then, to add the [bleep]es, you must have the smithing level to make it, or purchase it from an NPC for a fairly large some of money (ex: Rune for 100k, Addy for 60k, Mithril for 20k, Steel for 5k, Iron for 3k, and Bronze for 1k) This would enable players to either:

a) Get smithing up

B) remove money from the game (slowly)

However, the [bleep]es would have to be removable, and by adding [bleep]es to a weapon, it becomes:

1) Untradeable

2) Weighs about 5 kg more.

3) Increased Strength Bonus

4) Slightly more accurate

5) A bit slower (2h speed)

6) The [bleep]es may fall off in battle, causing [bleep]es to rain down on the enemy (Note: This happens randomly, and is considered a Range attack.) The damage done by this would be calculated by this: (Range Level+Strength Level) / 15-Warhammer Value. The value (relative) of the Warhammer would be:

Bronze=0

Iron=1

Steel=2

Black/white=3

Mithril=4

Adamant=5

Rune=6

Dragon=7
