April 15, 200719 yr Hey people, ever get annoyed with your local, state or federal forms of government? Ever wan't to give them a wrap for a good descision? Well here's the place to do it! Firstly I'd like to give both parties of my federal government a bashing for thier blatant yet prevelant ideologies of verbally bashing the other party and whining like school girls all for vote grabbing. Anyone with half a brain can see that they are always on the election prowl, looking to remain in or gain the seat of power. I just never bought the idea of each party acting as if the other was intrinsically evil or 'antichrist-like.' On the other hand, I'd like to give my state government a wrap for deciding to abandon a poll to ask the people of Brisbane if they would accept recycled water and start building a recycling plant anyway. Although it is a bit late, it is timely and a good descision because we are running out of water! :ohnoes: Anyway what about you guys, want to give any level of government a wrap or bashing? Here's your chance.

April 15, 200719 yr I hate the commercialism of representative democracy as a whole. Why does Tony Blair get U2 to support him, and give speeches supporting him? He and every politician who does this should be ashamed of the mockery they make of the whole system. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.
April 15, 200719 yr I'd like to complain about the Louisiana State Government (even though I don't live there) for making the Federal Government take the fall for Hurricane Katrina. Disaster relief is under the jurisdiction of state governments, as well as the upkeep of public works (ie. Levies). I actually think it was extremely generous of the Federal Government to give New Orleans 8 billion dollars less than a day after the disaster. My heart is broken by the terrible loss I have sustained in my old friends and companions and my poor soldiers. Believe me, nothing except a battle lost can be half so melancholy as a battle won. -Sir Arthur Wellesley

April 15, 200719 yr I just wish conservatives weren't all so morally struck Christians, that way we can keep their policies but change things that are restricted by Conservatives and their morals. Oh, and I also wish they would stop relying off corporations to donate money to their plutocracy of a government for campaigns, so corporations won't get all these write offs and we can finally have a flat tax. We need a real Democracy like Finland, because America is not a Democracy, sorry Saul Alinsky. Me doing staff.
April 15, 200719 yr Viktor, a flat tax benefits the rich corporations. Depending on how you look at it, we could vary it, 10-15% perhaps. Me doing staff.

Except corporations use loop holes and write off everything they can and the US government does nothing about because they need those corporations to give them money to be reelected. They need to just stop completely with the write offs. Me doing staff.

On the other hand, I hate these upcoming elections because I don't want to see Democrats raise taxes but none of the Republican Presidential candidates are any good, it makes me want Obama, but then again with the taxes. #-o Me doing staff.

April 15, 200719 yr Taxes make the world go round. That's what the people who tax you tell you so that you won't be a bad citizen. I'm generally disappointed with the government, but who isn't.
April 15, 200719 yr Without the burdens (tax) you don't get the benefits (protection). Lack of protection leads to the downfall of society, as thats the main reason society exists. So yes, taxes do make the world go round. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. April 15, 200719 yr Anyway what about you guys, want to give any level of government a wrap or bashing? Here's your chance. Oh great, a chance for 12 year olds to spew out anything bad they've ever heard about George Bush - Only character in Runescape History maxed out in RSC and RS2
April 15, 200719 yr Author Anyway what about you guys, want to give any level of government a wrap or bashing? Here's your chance. Oh great, a chance for 12 year olds to spew out anything bad they've ever heard about George Bush Maybe I should have made a note of no bush bashing to please you. You brought it up and no one had been discussing it previously. Thanks. (And please, for the sake of sanity, no bandwagon bush bashing. We're criticising and/or applauding governments, not individuals [preferrably]).
April 15, 200719 yr I don't really enjoy the type of government I currently live under(I won't say because if I do, I'm sure I'll get some negative comments directed to me). I don't like the way it handles thing and how it also handled situations in the past. Abit too sure of themselves. Anyway, I would prefer a government that is partially bi-monarch(2 "heads" so they can veto the other if they plan to do something crazy) and partially by the people who would elect representatives(to influence and pretty much structure the decisions). This type of government is in no exsistance today or at least not that I know of. This would help make decisions alot quicker, more effectively and stricter(like not being able to get away with 5 years of jail for murder or being able to sue for the coffee you just bought and spilled on your lap being too hot).

April 15, 200719 yr The U.S. government was a great idea, very well set up by the Founding Fathers and a good system. Pity it's being ruined by being full of stupid and/or money/vote/power hungry people.
April 15, 200719 yr I am neither Democrat of Republican. When I am old enough to vote, I will choose a canidate not by party, but by who I think will do the best job. For example, I will not vote for a Republican who goes against all I believe in just because I say I'm Republican. (Which I don't.) I will vote for the best choice in my eyes, regardless or party.
