D. V. Devnull
Hello, Albosky, and all other Tip.It Admins... After being with these forums for near 9.5 months, I have suddenly discovered that my siggy has endured serious damages. The items I had in it were as follows: 1.) RuneWeb Siggy 2.) support for F2P bank space 3.) support for examine option 4.) support for new report abuse options 5.) support for F2P mage robes 6.) support for POH viewing by F2P The last 2 items have been damaged almost beyond repair. Also, the last 5 items in that list are all links internal to tip.it forums. As you can see, none of the above is in violation of Tip.It Rules, period. Further, I have not edited my siggy since the last time RuneWeb blew up over a month ago. So, I would love to know, WHICH ADMIN DID IT? I NORMALLY hold a seriously high opinion of Tip.It's Staff, but this has seriously shaken my faith and trust, being that I avoid violating the rules as a general rule of thumb. Please help me to get to the bottom of this rapidly. I am certain this was not a group decision. Best Regards and Best Wishes, Mr. D. V. Devnull and normally with a cool mind.(Warning: This user can be VERY confusing to some people... And talks in 3rd person for the timebeing due to how insane they are... Sometimes even to themself.) jemathonical
:-k Well they shouldn't be that hard to fix, just get the links back and everything. D. V. Devnull
Beamo, you have no idea how much work I went to originally to build my signature. Getting it just inside the limits was utter hell, to say the least. This is why I am so upset. I personally would like to see the offender 'pay' for what they did, because I know they had no right to do what they did, since I did not break any rules. ~Mr. Devnull and normally with a cool mind.(Warning: This user can be VERY confusing to some people... Albosky
From what I can see , nobody edited your signature If you worked "oh so hard" on it, you should have kept a back up .... And if you're looking to see the person who supposedly edited it, "pay for it" , you're barking up the wrong tree  And nice try on the "they had no right" , your signature is stored in OUR database and we can do what we see fit with it, read the registration agreement more closely next time... Unless there's been a global database failure. Also, this was the only way I knew of to address several admins at one shot. This forum has no Mass PM functions. BTW, I have seen this place used many times over for discussion of things that have happened, and seeing as there is no "Forum Discussions" section, this was my only real point at which to address everyone at once. Anywho, sorry for the annoyance this has caused. I've repaired my profile (I think, I will know in a few seconds...) and have changed my password to the forums. misterxman
D_V_Devnull, I agree that a topic should be made here if it seems it's a global forum issue that seems to affect all users (like the recent censor joke), but your topic was definetely not worded that way: WHICH ADMIN DID IT? I NORMALLY hold a seriously high opinion of Tip.It's Staff, but this has seriously shaken my faith and trust, being that I avoid violating the rules as a general rule of thumb. I personally would like to see the offender 'pay' for what they did, because I know they had no right to do what they did, since I did not break any rules. I'll do that after I find out who. I am certain this was not a group decision. Who damaged my signature?!?!? The statements above indicate that a staff member did something intentionally wrong, not that the forum has a possible bug that should be looked into. About mass PMing, you only need to PM one Admin (or even just a Mod), and that staff member will later consult with all admins to see if anyone can look into it. I'm posting this to help in case people encounter forum problems in future, PMing an admin first should help prevent having to make a topic here. If the problem (PM'd by user) turns out to be global, the admins will go to fix it and/or inform all users. PM's work very well in answering questions, this topic clearly could have been done by PM's. Pixel sigs by me.Pixel Art
Satenza
I was effected by this as well, some of the code screwed up. Maybe the sig limit changed for a short period? I fixed mine now. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.
Adamskii
This problem clearly affected more than one individual, I also found my signature to be broken when I logged in this afternoon. Satenza
I'm guessing that the sig limit was changed by someone then changed back. On the initial change it deleted all the characters that were over the new signature limit. Then it was changed back. No big problem and I don't see any need to go around wanting blood because of a few characters being deleted. Took me about 10 seconds and a PM from poke to fix it for me :) With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Beaumonde
My signature was also affected by this changed and I would like to know who did this. I would like to bring it to the attention of the admins that someone changed the signature limit for a short time or there is database corruption on the forum. Beaumonde
Sorry to double post but the signature text limit is still smaller than it used to be, you can see that my signature not ends at a strange point in the middle of some code. Can someone figure this out, get an admin in here, I mean seriously I could handle the little April fouls joke but however much I love Tip.It this is going over the edge. D. V. Devnull
BTW, no hard feelings. Sure doesn't seem like it. Just a nice tip: Check your own face when you're angry. Harder to show 'no hard feelings' properly, ain't it?? :P I know it ain't the end of the world if people's siggies got messed with. But it sure leaves the people who made those siggies that don't break the rules feeling like a pile of [expletive deleted] to go to all that hard work, find it damaged, and then potentially not find out who did the massive crime. And that's where we come back to the topic, "Who blew up the siggies?" ... :-k ~Mr. Devnull and normally with a cool mind.(Warning: This user can be VERY confusing to some people... Satenza
It's not a massive crime, even if a staff emmebr did make a mistake it's so trivial it doesn't matter. They don't need to say sorry for a mistake they may have made, you are clearly over-reacting. I can't even beleive people are so mad about this tiny error. Look at the world in perspective, then tell me that whoever made a mistake that slightly screwed up your signatire for all of 5 seconds deserves to be punished in any way or form. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Cruiser
And that's where we come back to the topic, "Who blew up the siggies?" ... :-k ~Mr. Devnull Why does it matter? Your signature is not suppose to be a billboard. It is a simple unique tag added to a post. If you're so hard pressed to pack everything you can into the space, you're adding too much and need to remove some of it. Being right at the limit, you should know there is the possibility something could get changed or the forums could hiccup and cut it off. Compared to everyone's massive signatures posting here complaining, my short little sig was left untouched. Should be a bit of hint that you're packing too much into it. Like Albosky said, you should have kept a backup for all the junk you have plastered in there. If you didn't, it obviously wasn't that important. If you get this worked up when your signature for an internet forum gets slightly damaged, I would hate to see what happens when someone gets your order wrong when you go to a resturant. It was probably a small mistake. Think very deeply about how using TiF is a privilege, most definitely not a right, and that you're probably the one who owes the admins an apology for going berserk and demanding that someone be punished. Seriously, a small oopsie happened with signatures. If its that important to you, you should have done what Cruiser suggested and backed it up. The few minutes in reconstructing your signature are not in fact a hardship that just messed up your week. P.S. The fact that you first thought that an admin had it out for you is quite possibly the most egotistical statement I've ever seen....
