We all fear it to an extent, especially with the ideas of what'll happen to oneself after they die. It may be more subconscious than conscious fear, but it's still fear. Honestly, I'd love to see how all the "I don't fear death people" on this thread would react when someone has a gun to their head. Just because I can accept dying tomorrow and don't believe in Heaven and Hell doesn't mean I don't fear it at least slightly. I control this fear to the extent that it doesn't affect my daily life in any way at all, but that fear's still there in the back of my head. And to clarify if anyone didn't understand, when I say "fearing death" I'm talking more about "fearing the afterlife" than the actual process of dying, unless it's extremely painful o_O. lol everyone fears pain...that doesn't mean you fear death, i seriously dont care if i die tomorrow though i would rather live longer..i know it will happen one day so theres no point in being afraid...and plus you dont know what death is like until you actually experience it since dead men dont tell us what its like to be dead...therefore no reason to be afraid, just you must enjoy what you have atm: life Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

One its going to be an untolerable pain, and i am going to hurt my loved ones, that scares me. I do not fear the unknown, imagine you never knew about heaven or hell, once your dead that a full stop, like reaching the edge of the universe. The simple thing is its too mind boggiling to think of the unknown, so i believe ignorance is bliss. I dont care so im happy enought to die. No tunnels btw and dying is actually rather nice if you don't try the violent version. I don't know hows that. Not afraid of death itself though. I don't care what comes after, if anything. Sometimes I even wish it was nothing. Forever long rest without my mind to take part in it or anything really. I don't know if I would die for someone else. For my child, probably I would. I think most moms would. Evolution has made mothers extremely protective because natural way of life is still that kids live longer. That was the short version, I could write you 20 paragraphs of this but I doubt that anyone reads my post as it is now so no point really. Yeshh, existence or nonexistence. None of us are ready, none of us know what's it about, how, why... You can say whatever you may, but if you should be dying tomorrow, you won't be ready. There is no way for that.
