  1. Morning, I have a standard desktop PC which connects directly to the Internet, I also have a laptop for work which allows me to work from home (mobile access etc). The laptop has wireless built into it but my desktop doesn't have wireless at all, would an item such as the one below allow my laptop to connect to my desktop PC, or would it just allow my desktop PC to connect to a wireless network?? I want my desktop PC to be able to create a wireless network for my laptop to join, hope that makes sense? http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6769125.htm Would this work or would I need a router? At the moment my desktop connects directly to the internet using an adsl modem.. To be honest I want the wireless on the go so I can 'work' from home in front of the TV instead of in my room. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Cheers!
  2. When people don't hold doors open for you when your behind them. People who don't flush the toilet. People who don't indicate at roundabouts. People who think that because they've had a couple of bevvys they have to start singing football songs. When people cant make simple decisions like, 'what film do you want to watch?' 'dont mind' [/rant]
  3. Its easy to say you would die for someone but if you were in that situation where its your life or theres could you make that sacrifice? Im not ready to die, im scared of death, seen to many people die young for my liking.
  4. I like Hip-Hop, but not rap..
  5. When you say British accent what do you mean? There is no definitive accent for Brits.

Every veteran i've ever met said they didnt fight and see thousands of brothers and friends killed in front of them for people like us to vote BNP. But, each to their own eh.

    The Heat

I cant complain, im off work for two weeks, getting a bit of a tan here in England and then flying out to Ayia Napa on Sunday for a week and a half, probably come back the same colour as a lobster mind you.
  9. I hate the current system in charge of my country that allows foreigners to come over, unable to speak the language, and have free health care and a free house and all that whilst some people who were born in this country are living in the streets, under bridges, in doorways etc with no health care, in fact no care full stop. I also hate smoking.. but I don't hate smokers because then I would hate myself..
  10. Having listened to both rock and rap I can appreciate both genres, I currently prefer rap but I couldnt say which one is better, its two completely different genres. This is an argument that cannot be won, its peoples opinions. There are legendary rock artists and there are legendary hip hop artists, a lot of rock fans wont appreciate rap artists as legends though, which is a shame because, even if I don't like the music I can still show respect to the artist for what they have achieved etc. Dont know what else to put so I'll shut up now.
  11. I started in 2001 when there were 2 servers, everything was tradeable, there was no falador, no wilderness, you chose to be pker or non-pker. I kept myself to myself though so I doubt you will have heard of me, I won't be revealing my RS name though, hardly a legend, but old school - you bet ya
  12. Good point on the raising taxes on cigarettes. I personally belive non-smokers should have preference over smokers when it comes to smoking related treatment (Lung cancer etc) - and this is coming from someone who does smoke! The problem in england with the NHS (National Health Service - free) is that a lot of people come to our country to claim benefits because of our free health service, some being illegal immigrants and others just migrate here. Making the waiting list longer for people who actually pay taxes and who were actually born in this country.
  13. Oh my god you legend, I forgot about that beast of a programme!
  14. What about the classics - "Thunder Cats" and "Bucky O'Hare"??
  15. Well at least in your country the police don't use a shoot-to-kill policy and shoot innocent people in the head 9 times from point blank range and try and cover it up. Real muslims do not support terrorists please do not discriminate against all muslims just because a few extremists who claim to be followers of Islam, are terrorists. And no, Im not a muslim, I have no religion but Im sick of seeing Muslims take the blame for terrorism
  16. Couldn't be further from the truth. :? Well, it depends how sore or achy you are.. if it's a little I guess it's normal, but if it's alot, you don't have good form or are really overtraining. By having good form, if you don't know what that means- it means doing the exercise well with the full range of motion. Unlike the people who claim to squat 34729058 pounds, but only go down two inches. You have to go down parallel with the floor. It's better to lower your weight and do it properly, than trying to look hard with heavy weights you can't handle. I'm not saying that using lighter weights is better, but if your form is not good then yes it is. The weight you use and number of reps you should do depend on what your goal is building mass or increasing strength. For raw strength training you want to do few reps 1-6, for getting big a little more 6-10. I'm not saying bench the bar 3 times to train strength, I'm saying use a weight that you can only do 3 times without a spotter or cheating... If you have good form. I'll shut up now as I think I'm starting to not make sense and I'm ready to go eat. If anyone wants me to try to explain more or give tips or something you can just send me a message (I'm no expert and not trying to be cocky, but I'm pretty confident I know more than 95% of the people that post here, hey... I am Arnold so I should know a couple things, right? ) Thanks for the lecture lol  However, Im sure you know this as you seem to know what your talking about, when you work out, the muscles tear, the protein you eat afterwards heals the muscles and makes them stronger, so when you ache after working out it shows you have worked hard and its actually doing something. When I first started working out (its been a bit on and off lately) I'll admit I had bad form, I was trying to do everything fast and using large weights, so when bench pressing, I was doing it so fast the motion would help me lift it, when using less weight and doing it slower, its harder and thats good, right?
  17. Probably from 14-19 (present), had a drug problem, messed my GCSE's up at school, then got kicked out of college when I was 17, did well after that, kept off the drugs for a while, then later - women trouble = back on drugs, then life got better, completed a 2 year course in IT, now though don't have a job, my best mates use drugs, as does most people who live on my estate, but we (me & my mates) have made a resolution to quit everything at new year. Not really a social downfall, i mean, i go out every night, but Id prefer to stay in and not do what i do, if that makes sense? And before anyone asks I won't be naming which drugs I've used, this is a family forum after all
  18. "God made Adam & Eve, not Adam & Steve" - Alan Partridge "Triangular sandwiches taste better than square ones." - Peter Kay "One of the most awkward things that can happen in a pub is when your pint-to-toilet cycle gets synchronised with a complete stranger." - Peter Kay "Every bloke has at some stage while taking a pee flushed half way through and then raced against the flush." - Peter Kay
  19. lol... Hip Hop lyrics aren't really the best for meaningful, 2pac can be, but you chose songs that aren't really meaninful to people who dont listen to Hip-Hop. I can't really think of too many lyrics that really touch me, little snippets get me thinking, but these are rare in Hip-Hop: Swiss:
  20. "You must believe you are the best, and then make sure that you are" "If you are first you are first, if you are second, you are nothing" "Aim for the sky and you'll reach the ceiling, aim for the ceiling and you'll stay on the floor" Those three were by the late, great Bill Shankly.
  21. When you walk through a storm Hold your head up high And don't be afraid of the dark. At the end of the storm there's a golden sky And the sweet silver song of a lark. Walk on through the wind, Walk on through the rain Though your dreams be tossed and blown. Walk on, walk on With hope in your hearts and you'll never walk alone You'll never walk alone. Theres a quote and a half for you. If you need an explanation for that quote, then unlucky.
  22. Best books I've read recently were: Da Vinci Code - Dan Brown. Northern Lights/The Subtle Knife/The Amber Spyglass - Philip Pullman
  23. This song was played at a friends funeral, so i've found it hard to listen to since then. Other than that, About a Girl by Nirvana, which was played at another friends funeral. I know the feeling, I cant listen to Stay Another Day by East 17 for the same reason, but in all honesty I doubt I would listen to to it anyway - not my cup of tea..
  24. Off-Topic seems a bit dead at the moment, so I thought we might as well try and liven things up, broaden peoples opinions so to speak, so I want people to list songs that are special, songs that make your hairs stand up on the back of your neck when you hear them, or songs that send a shiver down your spine. Ill get the ball rolling with a few: Everybody Hurts - REM (No comment really, just one of those songs) Dance - Nas (written about his mother after she died of cancer) You'll Never Walk Alone - Gerry & The Pacemakers (Not so much the Pacemakers version, but when you hear 40,000 fans singing it, its unbelievable) Feel free to add your own, otherwise I'll look a wee bit stupid  ...and remember, genre doesn't matter!
