np_tyler
With the recent college shooting, suicide bombers in the Middle East, and auto accidents, etc., I was just wondering what your view on death is. Are you terrified of death? Would you be willing to die so that someone else could live? - Np Tyler

Bubsa
You can't fear death. If you fear death, you'll be running all your life. Death will come, but there's this beautiful part right now called life, so enjoy it for what it is: a gift, that's why they call it the present. I would give my life to save another, hypothetically, if I was put in the situation for real I honestly don't know how I'd react. Saying that, I'm no way near ready to die, I have too much to live for. If you're born as one of the people in this world lucky enough to get clean food and water every single day, you better do some living. I've got too many things to do, places to see, people to meet, things to hear, people to make happy, sad, laugh, cry, p-off, comfort, things to accomplish, to abolish to create and recreate. I can't wait to live, so death is gonna have to wait! :D This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.

How2PK
Of course not. Who is? But I'm not 'afraid' to go out on the streets because there might be shooting or a suicide bomber. if that's what you mean. There's a bigger chance that I'm hit by a car or something. But I'm not really thinking about "what if", just enjoying life. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! jak722
I just need to make a will and testament. Like who gets my stuff, how my corpse will be disposed of, who will inform my friends, how they will pay for any debts I have, and so forth. Otherwise, I can anytime I guess. :-k The Enrichment Center reminds you that the weighted companion cube will never threaten to stab you and, in fact, cannot speak. Rebdragon
I don't believe in Hell (or an afterlife for that matter), nor do I have any "strong" attachements to this world, so ya, I'd say I wouldn't be too sad if I knew I was going to get killed tomorrow. I would give my life to save another, hypothetically, if I was put in the situation for real I honestly don't know how I'd react. Ya, I'm pretty much like that. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

pompey_spud
There are very few people I would die for. A few close friends, and a certain girl, and that's probably it. Am I selfish? Possibly. There's so much more I want to do in life however; drive, pull someone whilst sober, finish Twilight Princess, and then have a family. Am I selfish for not wanting to die for someone else when I want all of these things yet?

vilageidiotx
I am naturally not comfortable with death :-k , but the reason is simply because i dont know what happens. Would it be like religions state with heaven and hell? Would you become a ghost? Be reincarnated? Will we just rot in the ground? Its impossible to tell, and nobody can say they know. solgonsar
I don't really want to die at all, but if I had to die for something: then it would be animal rights, a ban on meat eating and hunting, or using them in labs. I don't know if I would give my life for anyone one person though. I mean ban meat-eating and hunting for humans. The animals can do it because they don't slaughter each other by the thousands, after raising those thousands in horrible conditions. If we reverted to hunting with our bare fists and only eating what we and our family members caught, that would be more balanced. Besides, it's perfectly easy for a human to get by without meat. Free range meat is a joke, honestly it just means that instead of keeping them in cramped cages in a factory, they keep them in cramped cages in a factory thats on a free range. "Humans are just so much better than animals" And this is a perfect example of why we are not. Arrogance. You blood nancy Could you elaborate on that? But yeah, I'm getting off topic to. Sorry. fgfuyfyuiuy0
Depends. If I didn't like the person, then no, I wouldn't die for them, but if they were a stranger, my family, etc, Yes, I would. I recently have come to not fear death and will embrace it willingly, if it's my time to come. With the whole shooting thing, if I knew I had no chance of surviving, I'd fight the shooter. I've thought about the whole "At any moment someone could decide to shoot up my family, my school, or me" and I have realised that I would fight the person. Run towards them and try to get the gun out of their hand or something. I wouldn't willingly sit there and wait to die. I'd rather die a hero or with courage, than die scared and afraid.
