I am here to discuss the wilderness and players how they dress when in it to fight Green Dragons. Lately after I took one trip to Green Dragons I was not only amazed to find out how many people fight them but I was amazed at what they wore and their combat lvls. I found plenty of them in one day on just one world lvls 79+ to 95+ to 100+ wearing STEEL, ADDY, MITHRIL, 3-ITEMS.

 

 

 

What I ask though is why? Why 3-items? Why newb armour? Surely it doesn't cost much to get a full set of rune and if they are killing Green Dragons they must have a steady income to buy another set if they did lose one. I'd like a serious discussion on this, what do you people think? I've been told they are autoers but I doubt it to some extent.

the ones who arnt, dont want to risk items to pkers.

 

Id rather complain about pkers in fighter plate, rune defender ect then trainers 3 iteming.

They are almost all autoers...and obviously won't be risking anything especially considering how often they get pked.[/b]

2) They are NOT autoers they are chinese gold farmers trying to make a living. However a fair few may be autoers

why would they waste their time donating money to some sad greens pkers who are there to pk defenceless and foodless people? They are not there to pk, so they are not prepared to lose something, so they wont.

 

Secondly, bringing full rune there is a major waste of time cause theyll be pkd in no time and dont have much more advantage over the dragons than when using black hides.

Not all 3 itemers at the green dragons are autoers. There was a guide here and probably is still here on how to recognise a green dragon autoer.

pure playground if you ask me..most of them are annoying people who are scared to lose items and therefore use those bad items

Why would they want to risk items? they aren't in the wild to fight or risk or lose, they're in there to kill dragons. Greens aren't that high leveled so you can kill them quite easily by 3 iteming and not waste food.

 

 

 

Also yes, 99% are gold farmers, pick any random 5 people there sometime and look up their stats. check out screechingmu's great guide on identifying them too.

Wilderness has come lame these days. You need to have like 5 person team to kill someone. Atleast everyone thinks so. You never get fair 1vs1 with someone nearly same level to you. People run away from few levels higher and attack only people few levels lower. And even eating / running in the middle of fight makes it almost impossible (atleast in F2P) to kill someone.

 

My point here is that I mean wilderness was a lot more fun back in RSC, where you had to fight three rounds before you could run. And not everyone was teaming back then..

Why not start skilling instead of killing 8-)

Autoers or Gold Farmers, basically.

I don't p2p pk much anymore because of fighter torsos, defenders etc. and there are some noobs with dds and barrage 1 iteming and pjing :F

 

And at mage bank everyone uses sara brews :P

As far as I'm concerned cb lvl doesn't mean your rich, im 103 and im always low on cash as are others because as soon as you start making money you fork out on things for construction, seeds for farming especially tree seeds, etc etc. so dont think that all people killings things in the wild are all rich enough to waste rune armour against dragons etc.

 

 

 

I would like to see safe spots in the wild, so i can take good armour weapons etc to fight things such as green dragons.

yeah, i'll be training there...whenever there is autoers there, its pretty fun to pk em.

 

 

 

I think they work by they just attack everything that attacks them and then when they run out of food, the program tells them to run and teleport.

They are either Autoers or Gold Farmers, most legit slayers use Rune/Black D'hide and sometimes 4 item and just protect item if someone tries to PK them.

Place of pures, looters and all kind of people...

 

 

 

Without good stats/ equipment you're kind of lost..

I'm not sure what you are getting at here...I've played since the wilderness was first released, and it has always been this way. PKers bring all of their gear in, and people who go there to train only bring 3 good items and the rest is stuff that they don't mind losing. The wilderness has not "become" anything.

If the wilderness was *only* for pking, I'd agree with all the recent whinging towards 3-itemers, safers, etc.

 

 

 

The problem is that there is a few other things that are necessary to do in the wilderness that have nothing to do with pking. Killing green dragons for slayer tasks is one of them - I had to go through 4 pk attempts while I was simply trying to kill 50 greens.

 

 

 

And then there is the lvl 3 treasure trails, half of which are spread throughout the wilderness, I swear. Over the course of two clue scrolls I had to hit 6 different locations in the wilderness. Did I 3 item them? Of course! 1 DDS, one dhide body, and the clue scroll, along with shovel or other bits. Don't feel the slightest bit sorry to the PK'ers for doing so, either.

 

 

 

As for the autoers and gold farmers at the green dragons... Well, what did you expect? A free ride forever? People that can figure out how to program such a macro can figure out how to minimize their losses eventually. Ditto to gold farmers, or even just legitimate people trying to make money off of greens.

Who cares about green-drag killers, They aren't the PC products running round thinking they own everyone when they got there stats in 3 months. There the ones that have ruined Edge wildy with there praying, Pjing, Teleing etc...The day PC came out was the worst day in RS history and for the wild.
