Mercifull
What do you mean hard to get? You get it from EVERYWHERE around here. All the supermarkets and some pubs. Wetherspoons sells more of it than any other pub in the world... including in Sweden. Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. Satenza
It's horrible, but then i hate all cider. I can't see why people drink it. Ew. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

Satenza
I kind of grew up drinking it occassionally to, i mean the strong stuff is not so bad, but things like Strongbow just make my stomach feel bad. hohto
Remember to try Swedish snuff if you're at least 18 :P Pretty much the best thing that comes from Finland, goes to the same category as blond women, Finnish boarder and boats to Finland. Korla
Oh, nice, first people my age I've heard who come here for tourist purposes though. If you do get to malm̮̦̉̉, gimme a ring, I live in that area. It's a few hours by train from Stockholm though. And if you see a dark-haired girl from southern sweden working to be a radio-talker (announcer or whatever you internationals call them), get your tongue out of her mouth you bastard, cause that's my ex-gf... I'm watching you merc. Anyway, the good places to go out and have a drink in Stockholm...AFAIK...not much from personal experience though, would be on Stureplan, damn expensive though. Many nice pubs down on "the south", from what I've heard. What are you interested in doing? Hard to give advice tbh :)

Viktorkrum77
Question. Can you take a train from England to Sweden? Like does the bridge from Denmark to Sweden have train tracks? Or would it go around and through the Baltic countries (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia) and eventually through Finland to Sweden? Me doing staff. BlueLancer
Question. Can you take a train from England to Sweden No, how would that work  But you can take a boat from England to Denmark and get to Sweden with a ferry. Or take a boat from Finland and travel with a train across Sweden. There's pretty much no other way, unless you fly in the north from USA and go through one of the northern railroads in Norway/Lapland

That would be a yes, the bridge from denmark (Copenhagen), to Sweden (Malmoe) has a traintrack. Infact, the train I take to Uni every morning passes that way. It's pretty funny actually, cause I'm going almost directly south to go to Uni, but the end-station for my train is a city directly to the west, across the water, in another country :o it takes 20 minutes by ferry but like 2 hours by train.. :P
Mercifull
I live in the west of England so id have to bus or train for several hours all the way to the east coast before I even got on a ferry. I'd much rather use up my carbon quota and fly there :D I'm not really sure what im looking for in Sweden really, noone I know has ever been there before and I dont really know much about it so id like to see some really touristy stuff too but also travel about and see some more off the holiday catalogue type places and things. Bubsa: I had a look online at online Beer & Cider stores but none of them do Kopparburg :( If you're serious about really wanting some I could work out how much it would be to get a load by me and courier them to you. If you seriously want to poison yourself with that, take a boat to Finland and buy tax free cider (now that's what I call Swedish :P ) from the boat. Or you could just take few 24 packs of Karhu III... dsavi
The best thing in Sweden: boat to Helsinki. EXCUSE ME? I really hope that was a misprint. There are drunk people all over, sometimes they barf right in front of your cabin door, speaking of which the cabin is cramped (unless you want to pay 1000̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì for a bigger one.). Helsinki is, well, boring. They have a few churches, and over-priced tuorist traps. Ok, the market is nice if you've got a fat wallet, but it really is a waste of time, or, it would be if there was anything better to do. I've heard there are a few good internet cafes, but somehow it isn't a good enough reason to go there. My advice: get a boat (on Tallink, you could try http://www.tallink.fi and click on the english flag if there is one) from stockholm to Tallin. The oldtown is almost RuneScape style (is it just me, or do I have no life?) and there are quite a few great places to eat by the harbour. Last time I was there we rented bikes and biked for a few hours. If you know where to go, that's awesome. In Tallin, (as opposed to Helsinki) English is known throughout the country so that shouldn't be a problem. I strongly advise you to go there. Phil
I hear everyone say Sweden is expensive. Just how much more expensive is it than the UK? How much for a pint for example? I wouldn't mind seeing the place one day but it's not on my immediate places to go list.

Basically the only thing cheaper in the UK is the beer. If you go out, a beer (in Sweden) can cost anywhere from 25-50 kr (1,82-3,63 GPB) -- sometimes more. 25 kr being extremely rare to find (and if you do it's usually very diluted or something), beer costing 50 kr is generally more common. However it's usually somewhere in the 40 kr range.
