Rs2 is a great game, but i remember the memories from rsc.

 

 

 

I would LOVE to get back on there. Absolutely LOVE it. I had an account and I'm greaaaatly disappointed that I can't get on since you had to log on within a six months period. :l

And just to add to that, I just now went to the home of rsc and it made me VERRRRRRY sad.

It's really nice to se some people fight to get RSC back, it really is. Now there arent to many people on rs2 who know anything about runescape classic. They don't know what they have missed, but they are happy. I would like to F**K jagex because they have forgotten RSC.

 

 

 

But we all should know that it was we who made Runescape into what it is today - A [cabbage] GAME (compared to classic). We helped Jagex to become a sucha big game. And what do we get for it? Nothing... They are just greedy..

Rsc was more than self-supporting, i agree in business terms it was a perfect move for them to do, what they didn't need to do was feel threatened by their own game which they inevitably did, they felt the need to kill it off. Rsc could have ran along side Rs2 and still paid for it's own updates and maintenance but Jagex decided to abandon it.

 

 

 

Put it into actual business terms, chocolate bars for instance.. When Mars bring out new products after their original Mars Bar did they try to do away with the classic Mars Bar in order to limit the competition for their new product? Of course not! The Mars Bar is probably their biggest selling product too.

 

 

 

In a product life-cycle it's supposed to pay for the next product but the saturation of the first product can in fact last forever (Forgive me if Saturation was the wrong section, it's been a long time since i was in Business/Ecenomics)

 

 

 

Rsc could have quite easily reverted back to earlier days, less servers, less staff, less players but quite easily continued to pay for the maintenance and updates required to keep people interested.

 

 

 

The complaints about Rsc were never anything to do with the game engine being limited, people wanted new skills, new armour/weapons and most simply wanted new and regular quests. All these things were capable of being implemented into Rsc and indeed should have been.

 

 

 

The bottom line is that Jagex feared that Runescape would have been too much competition for Runescape2 and therefore felt the need to coerce people into Rs2, the actions they took were not naive or unplanned they were calculated and manipulative. They were aware of how taking highscores away from Rsc would persuade people to join Rs2 then there was the threat of no updates, condemned to a world of autoers on Rsc and then there was the bank nonesense, p2p items could still be seen in your freeplay bank, so there's no reason Rs2 items couldn't have been seen in the Rsc bank, they could have just had one image for all rs2 based items like a white square with a cross, thus allowing us to have 1 bank and flick back and forth to whichever game was fancied at the time.

As much as i'd have happily had them as two separate games, my idea was more based on it being one character over the two games, the only problem that posed was that experience would be gathered faster or slower, but then again, everyone would have had the same opportunity to play either.

rsc was the best game in the history of runescape. the originals are always the best. but people have to ruin it. but i am still mad and confused on why jagex was so content with the autoing problem that they just created an entirely new game? it could of easily been fixed, rsc graphics are better all they had to do was add run to rsc and it would be just like rs2 if they kept updating it? why is there such a big differences in the games now? rsc was the best game i've ever played in my life ... maybe not yours but rsc should be back... idk how they can just get up and take a game AWAY, i was never warned or anything all they did was put my stuff on rs2. btw i've never autoed, anything never broken the rules

the bottom line is that i played a game since it came out, supported it, put money into it, WASTED key word there is WASTED that many years of my life (got fat) (rofpm) and had it ALL key word there is ALL of it taken AWAY key word there is AWAY from me. and to me thats not even close to being fair.

 

i worked so hard to become something on rsc and i was almost there, and boom, byez, and in oponion i think rs2 now has more autoers than rsc did so jagex didn't fix a thing

Why don't JaGeX make some extra RSC servers, that are for members only, but no need to be active player. JaGeX gets ca$h and players are happy.

I was straining to think of a good analogy to compare the Rsc-Rs2 graphics change then out of the blue i looked out of the window and got an idea.

 

 

 

If Rsc and Rs2 were both cars and we have 2 classes of car for instance '1' and '2' - 2 is a superior car in general.

 

 

 

Rsc = Car 1

 

Rs2 = Car 2

 

 

 

 

 

This of course is all very easy but now for the interesting part:

 

 

 

Car 1 is the top of it's range, it has all the gadgets and upgrades and has a cooler sounding name stuck on the back of it like 'Flame' or 'ST'

 

 

 

Car 2 is a better car by proxy but is the bottom of it's range, it doesn't have electric windows or air conditioning, the dash is covered with panels were buttons *should be* but alas are not and it has a name like 'Studio' on it's rear.

 

 

 

This is my view on the graphics, although Rs2 are an upgrade in graphics they're a fairly poor upgrade and barely worth doing, if you were going to upgrade them they should have upgraded to car '3' this way it's an extremely noticeable difference and well worth it.

 

 

 

The cars i was using as examples are as follows:

 

 

 

1 Ford Fiesta

 

2 Ford Focus

 

3 Koenigsegg CCR :twisted:

RS2 graphics (I refer to the graphics that have been upgraded, such as the new Varrock) are much more detailed than RSC graphics. The animations are VASTLY improved, and guess what? IT"S 3-D! You can really submerge yourself into the game, unlike RSC.

What i said was that to increase the graphics was a ridiculas decision as increasing them to what they are now shows how behing they truly are, compare what Rs2 looks like now with how helbreath etc looked 4 years ago, Rsc was unique and didn't need better graphics, clearly the gameplay in Rs2 is worsened so they opted to trick people with slightly improved graphics.

Funny they made rs2 to stop autos, how ever in less then 5 worlds there is more autoers combined on rs2 then there ever was on classic.

 

 

 

Only bad thing about runescape classic was how adversly autoers effected pking.

 

 

 

But hey , now with rs2 the only ones they seem to bother is those who dont go in to the wild. :)
