Forced donation is an oxymoron, perhaps you're referring to some kind of tax that goes towards researching cancer. In which case my point still stands, don't be so selfish and heartless.

Lol well, cancer research doesn't work. Every once in a while, they find something interesting, but for now can do nothing with it.

Better donate money to someone you know that has cancer, so he can bu y medicine, that's more helping.

Nyway, if you want to be paid for what you work for, it's socialism you need, not to confuse with communism. Socialism needs a lot of supervision of the government, because it has easy access to money and can be corrupted. And it cannot be pure socialism since we dont want the doctors to be paid as much as the garbage pickers. Look countries like sweeden, they have that system and socially and economically, theyre stable and well.

Best. Reply. Ever.

There plenty of money in the world, some people have enough to give everybody on the planet 3 pound each.

I personally think that the media has destroyed the world, most people will disagree with me, but if it wasnt for the media, i think that the average death age would be well into the 100s, because the hospitality would have sooo much more money to spend on new drugs.

People see footballers as heroes, but would you rather win the world cup, or win a war?

Do you have the feintest idea on what you are talking about here lag? You belive that the average death age would be into the 100s because the media wouldn't be around?

First of all, define media for me please. Something as simple as a newspaper is the media. Is it just TV that bothers you? Or is it a certain something on TV that bothers you, or maybe something different all together?

If the general forms of media as we know it never came into existance (Internet, newspapers, Television, Radio just to name a few) I would be willing to bet that we may actualy lose a few years off the 'average death age'.

Why you ask? Well lets say Scientists come up with some form of new research that, hell, cures aids. How are they going to get this message across?

Televeision? Nope, never happened.

Radio brodcast? Whats that?

Internet? Not there.

Or, another example. If the media wasn't available how would we know what the common problems in socity were? If it wern't for the media talking about current events would you know what was going on?

We spend too much money on this 'media' you say. Well lets say we don't spend it because it isn't avilable. How can we know what to support? How would we be able to know that tragedys such as 9/11 ever occoured unless we were in the imediate area?

Sure, word of mouth would get around, but lesser issues that are not as pressing would never get developed. Who wants to talk about some new study that needs funding for cancer? Or perhaps some kind of new find that shows a weak link in AIDS?

At any rate you might want to think a bit before you talk, lag.

Talk about exaggeration... people shouldnt fight just to be on tv they should fight for the honour that there families will receive and deffinatly not that corrupt crap governments we all have.

Unjust society is proved by Bill Gates by claiming he will give 99.8% of his wealth to charities when he dies, this is surely going to be in another 40 years!! Do you realise how much could be accomplished if he just handed it over now? That goes for all the other people who claim to leave their money to charity when they pop their cloggs

What's the point of even attempting to care for humanity? We are the only species that kills its own for no reason. Attempting to care for something full of heartless scum is utter rubbish, the best you can do is care for your family/friends and i suggest u stop there

Because when it comes to the end, if we don't stand up for what we think is right thing, what are we good for?

If everyone thought like you i'm afraid to say the world would be a sorry place.

Well what's wrong with trying it? Eh? We've been trying this "We should all care for one another and we will live peacefully" lifestyle and what good has it done? Stopped murder? No. Stopped war? No it's increased.

How we will know what caring for your close family/friends and not trying to save the world all as one will be like if it's never been done?

When our countries were rising we didn't have other governments attempting to help us; did we make it? Ye we did.

You speak about the world as if you can speak on behalf of "all of us", who've "all" tried liberalism, and who've "all" tried to love one another.

If you think a fraction of a percent of the world has ever stopped thinking about itself for a second then you're sorely mistaken. We are by nature, selfish, and have been throughout history.

If you've ever bought a gift for anyone, given someone a compliment, done a good deed for someone else then you have stopped thinking of yourself a second, and you seem to think that no one has done this? The whole god damn world has done this, every single poverty affected person, murderer, heartless scumbag has done this once. I am not mistaken as i did not even say that for starters and secondly what you've said is wrong but mehh who cares.

Really? I'm pretty sure we have reasons for wars and such. I'm pretty sure there's a reason for every muder, whether it be a good one or not in up for debate. I don't remember the last time the last time a murders answer for why he killed someone was "I dunno".

Greed isn't a proper reason really. Most species kill what they need to survive and feed their family.

Humans can rise in power and execute hundreds of thousands of innocent people for wealth and land they don't need, but they want it.

Do you think the militarily most advanced country in the world sends 150,000 soldiers and spends hundreds of billions of dollars just to 'democratize' 1 country or 'spread stability and freedom in the region'?

Even the humans living there aren't worth it in the cash for those politicians, let alone the moral principles. Try 'the resources of the country exported cheap because we manned the country so we simply can'

I'll have to look into that when doing the unit on criminology next term.

I know there are people who cant feel remorse for their actions.. Like they can kill someone and not feel anything for doing so..they dont feel bad, they dont have a conscience that kicks in, they're usually unable to display emotions or have difficulty.

Even though I guess 'because i felt like it' or 'i was bored' would be a reason wouldn't it?

mmm interesting...

The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.

Heh, yeah that would be a reason (still not a proper one). I was thinking about that when I was typing that post :P

But I know what you're saying about some people not being able to feel remorse for some of their actions. I don't feel remorse for some of the bad things I do, but I do for other things.

As BlueLancer said, everything has a reason although they aren't worthy reasons, killing someone "because they slapped my wife" is a reason, but it's a shameful and pathetic 1.
