I think we should stop arguing about this. There is now a minimum combat level of 85 to get the quest cape. Jagex are not gonna change this. Big deal. They may well not make a higher requirement due to all this complaining, which means that we will likely never get our coveted 'high level quest'. So thanks for complaining morons, you've just dashed the hopes of everyone.

Complaining will not change the fact that the only way to wear that cape again is to get your combat up. Get over it and do it already, you're annoying the rest of us.

Goals to get my skills back up to a barely respectable level on the high scores:

Currently going for Bone to Peaches spell. It's amazing how boring doing the same repetitive task is! Stupid MTA

I believe thatt putting a combat level restriction on the quest was a bad idea. It wasn't necessary. If people want to go get killed, that's their business. I don't think that "Well I'm level X and I had a hard time" suffices as reasoning. I personally enjoyed going to the KQ at level 56 with a group of friends. I tried to solo the Chaos Elemental at level 70. Now, being level 77, I haven't done the new quest. I also never did Lunar Diplomacy. But, if I did complete Lunar Diplomacy, I'd want the option to run in and get my life taken. :)

I did the quest at level 86 using rune armor, whip and obby shield and it was easy. I used tuna potatoes as food and a dose of attack and defense potion (I don't carry sharks or super sets with me). I had plenty of food left.

I'm really confused at all the lvl 90+ who said they had trouble with this quest... :-k Saying the cb requirement

Well, at first I was going to keep my level at 85 (ironically a quest reward bumped it to 86) and hope that there wouldn't be any need for fighting (I don't play RS to kill things, thank you) but the new cb requirement was like a wake-up call for me.

Even if I decide not to look for combat, combat will eventually come and find me, whether I'm prepared or not.

There was an excellent comment made by Zoidnerd which I completely agree with:

why does everyone get so mad, if your a true quester, get your requirments and deal with it otherwise dont call yourself a quester

Stronger warriors will eventually be called upon to tackle new quests. While there wasn't really any point in having a combat requirement in this particular quest, Questers should understand that JaGEx is going to want to release some "challenging" quests with higher requirements.

Quests aren't designed for skillers or fighters, they are for everybody and are designed to have variety.

On a slight tangent here...

What I really want is a Master Cape that you get for getting 99s in all your skills, having all quests complete, and having achievement diary complete.

Now that's something to aim for.

The OoC: Order of Cabbage. Guardians of 3,600,000+ Cabbages! That a lotta cabbage!
