As time went on though, I realised that was impossible. My advice would be to learn how to switch between index on green, and index on red, with the other three fingers on the next three frets up. Then learn how to alt strum. For practice, I'd say the part after the second verse (ending "workers are going home, yeah") in My Name is Jonas. Haven't played on hard for ages though. On Expert there's only a few more songs that have alt strumming in them as a requirement really. Either play green/red with your index or learn to shift. The latter is better but harder. I shall take my flock underneath my own wing, and kick them right the [bleep] out of the tree.
