June 9, 200719 yr Attack: It starts out horribly slow, because you miss almost every single time. Strength: Same as above, excepy you start out going "OMG I hit a freaking 2!!! yessss" Defense: Because it's less accurate than concentrating on attack, and weaker than when concentrating on strength, there's little "bonus" to actively training defense other than it's eventual ramifications. So, imo, no worst aspect. Ranged: Ammunition. Prayer: The better bones take an annoyingly long time to gather. And unlike almost every other skill, you train at the same rate from level 1-99, there's no "Woohoo I can do this thing that gives way more exp that you can't do" factor. Mage: Like ranged, the "ammunition" I.e. runes. And the armor is universally pathetic against melee, and generally ugly. Runecrafting: Things at level 65 giving 10 exp... yeah, that's condusive to training. It wouldn't as annoying if you could get more than 53 raw materials a trip when you'll need a few hundred K for that next level. Construction: Unlike every other skill, you can't make the resources yourself, you need npcs to make em. Not that condusive to training either. Hp: Inferior xp gain compared to other 5 damage-causing combat skills, made up for by the fact all 5 of them can train hp. Herblore: The massive amount of clicking. Perhaps universally rivaled only by the material gathering: Vial, herb, ingredient(s) for 190 exp max, yay! Agility: The RNG "luck" aspect. Fail a certain trap 10x+, watch someone with 40 agility levels less pass it first try. Thieving: Failing skill level 1 methods at levels 70+. Again, the RNG aspect. Crafting: Since I acquire the materials myself, rather than buy them from other people, the fact that unless you do wool from 1-10 then flax from 10-99, you depend on other skills completely for exp. Fletching: No string x. Absolute killer of wrists. Slayer: Inability to choose tasks. "hehe, go kill 200 annoying monsters that require way more resources to kill than you'll make off killing them!" Hunter: Everything is found in one place, and one place only. Mining: RNG aspect between mining levels when competing for a rock versus someone else, RNG aspect when it comes to how long it takes to mine an ore from the rock (which only contributes to the aforementioned.) Smithing: If you alch most things you smith (like I do), the horrible inefficiency compared to other skills (like fletching.) Cut 1 tree, pick+spin one flax, alch and make 1536 gp vs. mine 5 iron, mine 10 coal, smelt, smith into plate, alch and make 1200 gp. :/. Fishing: Only thing I have to say about fishing is that the river trolls have [cabbage]ty drops. Cooking: How fish are so much easier to catch than other things are to make and yet heal equally. Firemaking: Limited methods of levelling. Woodcutting: Dragon axeheads flying off, :(. Farming: Same argument as crafting. unless you buy the resources, dependancy on other skills for any decent exp. June 9, 200719 yr Because it's fun? Black as midnight, Black as pitch, Blacker than the foulest Witch.
June 9, 200719 yr In my opionion farming-Most scapers don't have the patience minning-Repetitive clicking doesn't sound nice to me crafting-Hard to raise without spending alot of cash construction- costs a ton That's all i have to say :) lucky barrower-dh legs, veracs skirt, karil skirt, karils top (x3), dh pl8,karils coif, half key(x2), x-bow, ahrims robetopgoodbye Piman1053 Thu Jul 26, 2007 1:05 pm326death326 is banned~~~EVERYONE ADD MY NEW MAIN "Y0uknowwho" (first o is a zero)
June 9, 200719 yr Do you expect to do something besides clicking in a computer game? Maybe some dancing? :P I don't like any skill that's terribly repetitive, unless it's firemaking :D. Having variety is what makes some skills enjoyable and others "work." By the way, the word is conductive :-w
June 9, 200719 yr Hunter - Having hunter spots completely filled up by other people. That's only because everyone wants to get dragon arrows, before Jagex said anything about dragon arrows, almost all the hunting spots were empty.
June 9, 200719 yr Im not whining, but i have found something wrong with each skill: attack: can get annoying if you dont hit often strength: can get annoying if you dont hit high defense: can get annoying if you get hit high AND often hitpoints: they run out....nuff said magic: can cost a lot to get the runes range: annoying to pick up the arrows if youre using an obstacle prayer: the higher xp bones are hard to get mining: rocks can take a few seconds to mine, or a few minutes, then like 5 more minutes to get the ore back woodcutting: so many autoers smithing: somewhat long time to level up crafting: multiple steps are needed for most things cooking: burn things a whole lot when you have a low level slayer: limits the monsters you can fight construction: WAY too expensive hunter: doesnt really affect your status among other players herblore: can take forever to raise your level runecrafting: most alters are far from banks firemaking: just makes fires, and barley benefits convience for cooking thieving: can get annoying when you keep failing agility: nothing but click after click on precise spots on the map farming: quite possibly the most time consuming skill fishing: you dont always get the fish you need ex: youre harpooning for swordfish, and you keep getting tuna fletching: too many resources to gather
June 9, 200719 yr Worst aspect of each skill? probebly the whole 'training' thing you have to do. meh, most of the time its just the time i have to put into things. i dont mind it, but there are some things i just cant stand. like hunter. i mean really, i understand where that skill was susposed to be, but i just dont find it fun at all. it takes too much thinking to level it to a decent level to where you dont have to think. most of the time, i also find spending money sucks. im more of a saver, and if i have to spend a lot of money on just a little xp (cons, crafting, fming, etc) makes me a little annoyed. so i only train it to a level in which i am comfortable.
June 10, 200719 yr Construction. IT COSTS SO MUCH!!!!!!!! Jagex. MADE IT THAT WAY ON PURPOSE!!!!!!!! :D
June 11, 200719 yr Agility: Extremely boring and...long Combat: Turn based combat, not real time :-( Construction: Expensive, I love it though Cooking: Not much, to say here. Too much burnanating w/o gloves maybe Crafting: Slow to level, not very useful for armor unless you get very high Farming: BORING and long Firemaking: Mmmkay I just burned 5000 logs, now what? Fishing: Not much to say here, can be a bit slow Fletching: Not many issues, no official fletching guild maybe #-o Herblore: Slow Hunter: Kinda pointless, not much of a money maker Magic: Id like to see more spells maybe Mining: Not much to say here really Prayer: Tedious if not expensive Ranged: Doesn't tie into combat level enough IMO Runescrafting: Slow and Boring Slayer: Why? Smithing: Need high levels to make useful items for anyone higher than a mid level player Thieving: Getting caught gets annoying Woodcutting: Slow
June 11, 200719 yr Assuming you don't buy anything for skills gathering raw materials is the worst part. Nothing else really bothers me.
June 11, 200719 yr Farming : * crop deaths are very frustrating after such a long wait. * the highest worthwhile level is 83. Smtihing : * the table is obsolete and needs reworked. * the lack of make X Fishing : * the spots move too often in my opinion. Heblore : * why three doses? why not four... grrr Hunting : * too few hunting spots leading to gross overcrowding * not much point advancing beyond lvl 83
June 11, 200719 yr Thieving. Ow, Ow, Ow, Ow, Ow, STOP STUNNING ME! Or in Pyramid Plunder... Ow, Ow, Ow, Ow, STOP BITING ME! But the skill is bomb none the less. "And if Strength is born from Heartbreak, then mountains I could move..."GMT-5:00
June 11, 200719 yr Prayer - Pretty fast, and not very expensive (well not until ~80) for the benefits it gives. Not that annoying. Cooking - Training it is a waste of money and time imo. If I want food I'll buy sharks or use Guthans. Very afkable but I could be doing fun stuff instead. Woodcutting - Bad for making money. Pretty fast though. Also, see cooking. Fletching - Stringing is hell, but very fast xp. Fishing - Same as wcing. Firemaking - Pointless and annoying. Crafting - No idea how I got 64, can't remember training it actually :? . Smithing - Outdated, and slow xp. Mining - Click-drop-click-drop-click- No more, please. Herblore - Very expensive or else is gathering seconds a pain. Agility - Once you get a good rythm going it's fast and fun imo : . Slayer - Gets annoying when you get a lot of bad tasks Farming - all the walking. I hate it Runecrafting - Very, very, very, very slow. Hunter - Having hunter spots completely filled up by other people. Construction - Very expensive. Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.
