The Teleportation Orb- This is where people make 2 big mistakes in FOG.

 

 

 

The first giant mistake people make is not using the orb at all. Use the orb in EVERY game. Its an excellent tool.

 

 

 

The second huge mistake people make is using the orb when they are being hunted. That may seem like the only thing its good for, is making a quick getaway when you cant use the house portals. Jagex may have even meant for it to be used that way. But using it to get away is completely pointless. The hunter always knows where youve gone, and it saves you a maximum of 3 seconds.

 

 

 

The best way to use the orb is when you are hunting the other person. Use it IMMEDIATELY when you see the word go!. For example, if I was on the north side of the battleground, my character would count down, and then I would spaz-click it until I see my character do the emote thingy. Then I click on my minimap to run south, click on my spellbook, and bind my prey as soon as I see them. It catches the hunted by surprise every time. Sometimes its possible to bind them at the same time they get their power-stone. Rarely, you can kill them right then and there, because its so unexpected. Read the next section for more, this is getting too much into strategy.

It works wonders

 

 

 

 

 

When you are being hunted, do this

 

pick up the rock and RUN AROUND THE WALL so your enemy wont use the orb trick above, once safely away from your original postion just walk around the wall until he finds you then... Flip on the protecion pray and RUN inside a house, wait until he goes away and then go and tank

 

 

 

Its ok to bring AS MUCH armor as you want the rock adds wicked weight anyway.[/hide]

Good luck. A longsword might be better for pking, but if a scimmy is one tenth faster it'll hit 1.6/more a time. So it's more effective. Still longswords ARE discriminated against.

This is a good observation but I think you'll find in the higher BH craters that speed is everything. Besides, 1 second is the difference between your prey running out and you getting that whip drop :D

I agree, longs should be a bit stronger seeing they're slower.

Longswords probably are underpowered now, but there's plenty of other weapons to chose from lol.

Wtf is a schimmy? ITs called scimmy... and all that matters is the speed in pking. Longsword hits like what 1 higher? And the attacking bonus doesnt really even matter -.-

Also, more proof that the longsword is better:

 

Look at the smithing level to make a longsword, then look at the level to make a scimitar.... see the difference?

Longswords don't look stupid ftw.

I'd just like to point out that dragon scimitar has proven to get faster XP and hit faster in every combat situation. I'm not debating for or against, I'd just like to leave that point up there. The dragon longsword does have a use - its stab attack is the best at metal drags. Other then that, D Scimmy outhits it in every situation.

It's a scim not a schim you 12 year old idiot.
