I saw a 5001+, but I've seen somebody with over 10,000 posts of delicious spam *Cough*Bubsa*Cough*. His rank is a Troll General, but it's not shown. Troll General was added recently to recognize those who have reached 10,000 posts or higher. The few people that have 10,000 posts but not the Troll General rank have a custom rank instead. Through what I assume is a limitation of the forum software (or my own ineptitude :P) you can't set ranks with post counts over 10k so it's set for 9999 posts.
