Necromagus
How do you listen to your music on your computer? I have all my music sorted by album in a single folder. Pretty much the whole thing is put together in a single playlist file on my desktop that I usually listen from (the playlist is hidden under this post for your scrolling pleasure) on shuffle. Besides comedy, I rarely sit down and listen to one whole album.[hide]How do you listen to your music on your computer? I have all my music sorted by album in a single folder. Echofish
I'd save EVERYTHING in one big folder, usually named something unusal like 'bleach' or much recently 'prune' (I change folder names often) I always end up accidentally deleting them, like one time I opened the folder to see that 1g worth of files is in the Recycle Bin :XD: Always on shuffle, sometimes if I like a song I'd play over and over again until I have another favorite (then I'd play that repeatedly) Ultra Unholy,Hearted Machine... Ragen
Mines sorted into artists, then albums. I have all the music in MP3 format and in Windows Media Player. It's all properly tagged and genre'd (not specific subgenres as I'd end up with a week of thrash and an hour of Gothenburg Melodic Blackened Deathcore etc). And I always listen on shuffle, usually skipping tracks till I find one I like. Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar! pfilc23
I have about 40gb, well organized...genre -> artist -> album (if ripped from CD, otherwise no album folder). I rarely listen on shuffle...I typically listen to a specific artist, all their songs or sometimes just a certain album. I also have lots various artist CDs, and a huge playlist of cover songs. Sometimes I like to create custom playlists (comps) with themes.
WutangFlu
My Music Folder > Artist > Album I use WMP11 with a sound enhancement plugin since default WMP is terrible. I usually just click an artist i feel like listening to and go at it.. Or if i feel like listening to a certain song i start typing the name in the search and it find it in a snap. ____
I'm rather strict on my sorting... it's all treed and such so i can find stuff very quickly just in explorer. sorted - albums --- ----- ------- [disc] - sound tracks --- ----- - compilations --- ----- ------- [disc] unsorted (aka incomplete) - albums --- ----- ------- [disc] - sound tracks --- ----- - compilations --- ----- ------- [disc] I have no way of dealing with single tracks of artists really. They're just in their own folder in Albums. All that aside... it's all loaded into winamp in that order above... and it just loops constantly. occasionally i'll skip to one artist or whatever depending on my mood. but i never have it on shuffle. Lateralus
All my music is played through iTunes, and while I'm at my computer I tend to listen to full albums. Playlists are for my iPod. La lune ne garde aucune rancune.
Poopingman
Mine are sorted by album. I used to have everything in one big folder, but that got too big long ago... Metal fans, check out my band!Still the King....
specialcharacter
Normally I listen to new music more often but I sometimes go back and listen to old songs(not actaully very old, a few months maybe?).

MyPurpleCrayon
Basically I have my library separated into four different playlists on iTunes. Fun! -This is where I put all of my music that doesn't go in the other ones, and where I put all of my Ska. :P Gangsta. - Pretty self-explanatory. Soft. - This is where you find most of my female vocalists like Regina Spektor and Eisley, then all of my acoustic stuff like Dispatch, then most of my piano stuff like Ben Folds, Elton John, and Billy Joel. Hardcore. - I love hard music, too an extent. (Hard music for me consists of System of a Down, Pantera, Static X, etc.) So this is where all of that goes. :P Then of course I have my random party shuffles, and my Recently Played list. Fun topic. :D Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so.
chicodallasman
I got a play list with my 500 songs on it. I sometimes play one artist, other times I play one song over and over and over until when I try to sing it my head just goes into autopilot (it's a good thing for some really fast [One Week by Barenaked Ladies anyone? Ya I can sing it]). If I'm in the mood for a particular artist I, of course, play only that artist. Most of the time I just pick my general favourites at the moment.
