It can be; * a sequel that isn't planned/announced yet * based on a book you really enjoyed * based on a TV show So what would you like made? I don't know about a Battlestar Galactica movie, would it be in the continuity of the series? Maybe combining the last three episodes into a movie, that would be cool. Give it a movie-sized budget of course. 24 movie would be good if they had Jack die at the end and end the series. Every season they say "The next will be completely different" and it turns out to be all the same. Well the only things I can think of are comic book movies, but the way they are done now they are a dime a dozen. Making a movie in the continuity of the comics would be cool, but it is completely unfeasible. The best we can hope for is they don't [bleep] up The Incredible Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, Wolverine, Magneto, and the others. Would be awesome to see a Cable and Deadpool movie, but I think it would just be a let down. They could probably do a X-Factor movie, it has a good film noir twist to it. Book wise I think it would be cool to see the Terry Brooks' Shannara series, but everyone would just call it a Lord of the Rings rip-off (OK, so maybe the Sword of Shannara is a complete rip-off, but the rest of the series isn't). pfilc23 Posted June 25, 2007 Share Posted June 25, 2007 I can think of lots of books I'd love to see made into films: - Pegasus Bridge by Stephen Ambrose (war story of british 6th Ariborne glider landing in France on D-day to take and hold a key bridge). - Fear Nothing by Dean Kootnz (an amazing story...only Koontz book I've ever read, but plan to read more). I think this would make a really great movie. - James Patterson books (I believe 2 have been made into movies so far: Kiss the Girls and Along Came a Spider. However, they have to be done with Morgan Freeman playing Det. Alex Cross). - Robert Jordan's 'Wheel of Time' series (this is a pipedream...the books are too massive and there are too many of them...I don't think the series could be done to satisfaction of the readers). - Terry Goodkind's 'Sword of Truth' series (this might be my favorite fantasy series, but once again, there's simply too many of the books...there will be 12 when it's done) - George RR Martin's 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series - David Farland's 'Runelords" Series - This one is supposed to actually be made into movies, but had stalled apparently due to a dispute over production rights. Runelords - The Lemurian Stone by Stephen Hickman (a cool sci-fi story I read a long time ago) - Earth Abides by George R Stewart (a fantastic post-apocalyptic story written in 1950). - Ben Mezrich's 'Busting Vegas' (this is kind of the sequel to his book Bringing Down the House...both are stories of MIT students beating Vegas in Blackjack). Bringing Down the House movie, called 21 and starring Kevin Spacey is coming out in 2008...hopefully, it will be popular enough that they'll make Busting Vegas, cuz I think it would actually make a better movie. One of my favourite post-apocalyptic novels. You know, to read it you wouldn't realise it was set so long ago. I reads like a modern novel :) Would make a fantastic movie for sure. Its called Razor and its going to come out before Season 4 begins and is based about the Pegasus and at the time when Cain becan cannibalising the fleet she had aqquired to allow herself to fight the Cylons. I'd read whispers about Pegasus, but I thought it was a spinoff TV series, not unlike the Caprica idea that's been doing the rounds. Caprica is currently in development hell but I wouldnt be suprised if filming began after the finale of Battlestar Galactica.
