What is wrong with Pures?

Well considering we were going off-topic on the Fire Cape Nerfed post I will make a new one dedicated purely to this.

 

 

 

My RuneScape name is Roses Kitsym.

 

 

 

I have 1,221 Total level, and 12,949,497 overall XP.

 

 

 

I am 68 Combat, 61 Attack, 85 Strength, 75 HitPoints.

 

 

 

I respect others, I follow the rules, I don't NH PK, if I die I lose 150K.

 

 

 

I am a Pure.

 

 

 

Why do you hate me?

 

 

 

I Cl4ssic I. Pure. 1,733 Total level. 79,538,837 Overall XP.

 

Boss Vly. Pure. 1,609 Total level. 80,982,327 Overall XP.

 

 

 

 

 

It is obvious that Tip.It is "Anti-Pure". So I want to know what your reasons are.

 

 

 

Lots of Pures aren't immature brats like you imagine all are. Personally I think most people hate them because they died to one at some point.

 

 

 

So, argue with me, agree with me, whatever. I will debate/comment, etc on your posts. Make sure they are constructive and not just "purs r0ck!%!!1511one!" and vice versa.

well, most pures are completely disrespectful, and if you read my thread on transferring items, break the rules. you can't tell me moost pures make the money for all the supplies they use, the break the rules in some way and get supplies from their mains to their pures. they are also cowards, they made pures to ensure victories in the wildy. try having a well balanced combat character face the same level pure. the well balanced character will lose until about lvl 90, and most pures aren't that powerful, or "un-pure" themselves by that time. these are my reasons.

The "anti-pure" idea is simply a generalization. Almost all the time people on the rant forums are pures, people that get onto you about being a "noob" are pures. It's simply a generalization and there are always acceptions to this rule such as you'reself. I don't hate pures, but I think that higher levels should always have advantages over lower levels because it just makes more sense that way.

 

Such as on the topic of the fight caves, I don't believe that a level 60 should be able to obtain a fire cape since it is the hardest thing to do in the game (in my opinion).

 

I simply don't like most of the people behind pure characters and pkers in general. MOST of them tend to be stuck up, and "pixel huggers" as some would call them. But not all of them are. Some are honest and good and I can respect that.

Loads of Pures make money Staking. I know I did and still do. Hell lots even make money PK'Ing.

 

A long, long time ago, the first Pures were created to ensure victory in the Wilderness. Now, Pures are created for fun, to be able to hit high at a low level, and to match other Pures.

 

 

 

Your reasons are that we break rules by Drop-Trading even though most people in RS have Drop-traded, and lots of Pures make money Staking/PK'Ing.

 

And that we are cowards because we don't want to fight on some level 80 Account with 72 Strength? I could call you a coward for wearing armour, could I not?

There a few reasons I myself don't like pures, greatest being the fact I can't kill them because they're not high enough in combat. I also got too many stuck-up pure experiences compared to well-mannered pure experiences, which also makes me dislike pures.

 

 

 

I think most people have bad experiences of pures (wilderness or otherwise) and have developed a stereotypical view of them, and thus hate them without a seconds thought.

 

 

 

Also I view pures as "idiots who can't spell correctly and such who have "pure stats" ".

 

Pure stats and good manners are possible, which I expect to be a fitting description to you, based on the posts you have made which I've read.

 

 

 

Also I think pures are a waste of time IF you have a "main" account before it.

Because the majority of pures are very disrespectful. I have a great example, this happened a few days ago:

 

 

 

(I was walkig through the rock crabs, then somebody set up a cannon)

 

 

 

P1: Who's being a cannon noob?

 

P2: It's Choco's [it wans't mine, I don't even own a cannon, it was obviously his]

 

(2 other guys proceed to call me a cannon noob)

 

Me: Huh? That's not mine, watch [i run off screen and back, it's still there]

 

Me: See? it isn't mine, this guy was just trying to use me so he wouldn't have to deal with being insulted

 

P2: So, noob?

 

Me: I'm a noob? You're pure, please..

 

P2: So? My main, he owns ya?

 

Me: Then why don't you play using him, instead of bragging about him -.-..

And trust me, tons of others have been in the similar situations. I' not saying all pures are pompous jerks, but the majority sure seem to be :?

i general don't like pures since they most of the time are disrespectful to any1 who:

 

 

 

1) don't pk

 

2) have worse combat stats then them

 

3) says they have drop traded(though many pure have, not saying every pure)

 

4) i have many times been called a nerd because i have a higher combat level then a pure :XD:

those people who you post about (including you) aren't the typical pures, i would most likely call I Cl4ssic I and Boss Vly for skiller's and skiller's are general real nice people.

Yes, and its the pures that would think the opposite of that that make people hate pures. Many pures would complain about this update because there level 60 account cannot obtain the cape. And its with this generalization created by these few players that cause many to hate pures. It's all just a big stereotype basically.

I have nothing against pures. I even havea pure myself.

 

 

 

But I can't help but say that the percentage of immature players which are pures are of a higher percentage of those than normal players.

 

 

 

When players hastle me, i simply toss them on my ignore list. I have 5 players on my ignore list on my main, and probably 50-60 n my pure.

Not trying to advertise, but have you looked at my gallery? I can brag that I am LOADED. I made that from Staking - I spend a lot of time with other Pures, even taking their stuff. I PK at least once everytime I get on RS. I am a Member of FOE, MM, TLP, and various other Pure Forums. I use Pure IRC Chats, I have Pure friends. Don't assume because I skill that my opinion may be off.

i dispise pures, can't say ive ever been pk'd by one, as i never pk. Only pures i meet are in castlewars, were thier low defence ends up making them get ko'd in seconds. Becaue there not usually used to this when pking, they get very arrogant and annoying and angry etc, and stat cussing and agrovating others. Also, many pures i meet seem to think that just because they have higher str than me(im a low str player) that i'm the noob, when im 109 combat and there 60-70. which annoys me, as str is pointless from 80-99 without good attack and defence. They also end up calling me a defence noob alot, which is just calling me noob for being good :ohnoes:

 

 

 

On the case of the new update making pures not able to do fight caves, GOOD. If you can only be bothered to train 2 of the 3 main combat skills, then you should only get 2/3 of good items. train all 3 and you can get the best. Put the effort in, you get the reward out.

I find that when a pure invades another's training spot they get hostile. Then they look up that pure and a flame war erupts.

 

 

 

My stand on pures still stands. Even though I like to use them, I find most pures to be disrespectful. Of course there are the few that stand out like Lakitsym_Rose that actually have respect for other people. But until every single encounter with pures are mature and peaceful, I will always believe most pures are immature little kids.

you don't see the point. how did you get the stats to pk or stake? by drop trading materials. you cannot call me a coward for wearing armor, jagex made it so you could wear it. yes you are cowards for not wanting to fight on a lvl 80 account with 72 strength, if you actually fought with it anyway you would realise you do way higher damage than most people your lvl. i myself have 55 strength at cb 77, but even when i had 55 strength, 40 att, and 40 def in f2p i didn't pk. i don't try to take other peoples things to make money, it's basically the same as robbery. with pures you have no chance oof losing except against another pure, and you won't get anything goood from them because they are too cowardly to lose their things, so they protect it. that's another example of pure cowardice, the only valuable item you can get is their weapon, and they use protect for it.

well what exactly is a pure?to my understanding it is the concept of trying to cram the highest combat stats possible into a character while maintaining the lowest combat lvl possible, which is cowardly in my opinion. personally i dont care about pures, just throw on the torags and watch the "noob" slurs come pouring out :twisted:, but really most of them are breaking the rules because while yes there is alot of gee pees to be made in staking.....there is also alot of gee pees to be lost in staking which keeps it balanced, :-s and there happens to be alot of very rich pures running around...... :-s

My post about not liking pures could be countered with duel arena option, but I prefer PKing, where I can jump at an unsuspecting individual and kill them instead of trying to fight a fully loaded PKer who will run in 95% of the situations, I run as well because there's no rule against it. And rare, your stereotype of EVERY single pure drop trading is quite stupid, unless of course you have seen EVERY pure in RS drop trade. (with which I mean being there IRL when they did it).
