July 6, 200718 yr You've obviously seen the chaos in World 2 if you're reading this. Granted, there are other guides to the hellish merchanting realm, but I plan to blow the rest away  [hide=Table of Contents] I. How to Get In II. The Map III. The Areas IV. Tips and Tricks V. Thanks and Acknowledgements[/hide] [hide=I. How to Get In] The place is nearly always packed, so how would you manage getting in in the first place? There's two choices, long and short, relatively speaking  --Long Way When you arrive at the World Select page, click the Down arrow beside where it says World. This will order the worlds from 1 to 144 (at time of writing). Assuming World 2 still is FULL, click the Up arrow beside where it says Players. This will show the worlds with the highest number of players that are open (FULL worlds appear at the bottom.) Repeat the process until you find that World 2 has opened! --Short Way First thing: The link. http://ul8.runescape.com/l0,p0,j0, this will normally take you to the front page. However, turn off Javascript (I won't take the time to explain how to do that here) and it will take you to the World 2 login screen! Note: Sometimes you will get a World Full message on a black screen. Simply press enter on your address bar again after retyping the link and you'll be good to go.[/hide] [hide=II. The Map.] (apologies for size if anyone has problems with it, not sure how to enlarge :|) [/hide] [hide=III. The Areas.] --Area A The Dark Bow can be bought and sold here as of late. Dragon Helms, Arrows, and Darts can be found around this area too. You may find a bargain from a lost seller of an item belonging to another area around this town square, so be vigilant! --Area B This is the area where Dharok's armor and weapon are sold. Note, you may find some sellers on the bridge (mixed with Torag buyers and sellers too sometimes, so don't get confused!) so wander a little bit when dealing with those items. --Area C Verac's and Ahrim's sets can be bought and sold here. Ahrim's staff is a rare sight here, albeit it's near worthlessness. If you are buying Verac's set, watch out for an easily spotted but just as easily fixed scam: Some people will replace Verac's helm with a second skirt, watch for this in the first and second trade screens! Note: The area between zones C and D is where Guthan's set and dragon square shields can be found. --Area D Abyssal whips and Dragon Chains can be bought and sold here. A common scam for whips: Someone puts up a whip, you put one up as well. The other accepts, but on the second trade screen, it appears he lacks a whip to trade! Be very watchful here, ruthless scammers abound. --Area E Rangers Boots, Robin Hood Hats, Dragon Platelegs/Skirts/Meds can all be bought and sold here. Not much trouble here, although a note for those who don't really care if they get caught wearing a skirt in-game: There is NO difference in stats (except for weight, the skirt is lighter) between the dragon (and all other metals for that matter) legs and skirt. However, the skirt is substantially cheaper! You also may find rare sellers through this area, so take a look! --Area F All forms of trimmed rune armor can be bought and sold here. Trimmed, Gold Trimmed, and God Trimmed are all here. Gilded, however, is in the next area. --Area G Gilded armors and some Pharoah's Sceptre sellers can be found here. Usually there's not very many, so don't hope for price competitions and bargains here. --Area H Prayer Book pages can be bought and sold here. Usually deserted, so you're better off doing treasure trails or using the forums to find these things. --Area I Herbs, potions, and seconds are all traded here. Most potions are sold as 3-dose (especially super sets and prayer potions), and you will have a hard time trying to find Ranarr Weeds cheaper than Prayer Potions here. Some herb seed sellers may lurk here, so check it out! --Area J Runes, Runes, Runes! Every last rune can be found here, but there is usually a swamp of flashy text here, so be sure to have Public Chat on HIDE here. Note: The area just to the west of Area J is where everything Ranged related is found (even cannons and cannonballs), and the area just outside the east bank is where you can find dragon hides, dragon bones, and fish (raw and cooked) traded. --Area K Rune pieces can be traded here, in the small alcove between the trees. The area just to the east is where Glory Amulets and nearly all Dragon weapons can be bought and sold. --Area L Any and all magic equipment (NOT runes) can be traded here. Mystic (all 3 types) robes, wizard boots, staves, all are here. Cavalier sellers also wander by here, and just to the south of the farming patch to the west you can find Infinity robe pieces sold and bought. --Area M Karil's armor and weapon (as well as bolt racks, Karil's Crossbow's ammo) can be found here. If you're lucky, you may find a bulk seller of the racks for 300 each so keep a watchful eye on this area. --Area N Torag's armor and weapon, Dragon woodcutting Axes, Dragon 2h swords, and Obsidian weaponry and armor are all here within this area as well as a little closer to the statue. Keep an eye out for price competitions in the Obsidian set niche, they're quite commonplace here! --Area O Everything dropped by the Dagonnoth Kings is sold here, as well as Amulets of Fury, Berserker Necklaces (quite rare to see here), and Rings of Stone too. Seercull, Warrior/Berserker/Seer's/Archer's Rings, Mud Battlestaves (sometimes Mystic), and even sometimes Fremennik armor can all be traded in this area. --Area P Located outside of the walls of Falador, you can sometimes find a crowd of Partyhat toting players out here, some willing to buy or sell. A stray Mask or Santa Hat seller may wander out here, so as before with other areas, wander around a bit when searching for something here. --Area Q In this huge expanse, everything (except rangers sets and rune armor (t/gold trimmed/z/guthix/s/gilded) having to deal with treasure trails is here (even 3rd Age equipment!). Elegant clothing, Blessed Dragonhide, Vestments, Boaters, everything of the sort is traded here. Take a wide look around, quite a lot of wanderers here.[/hide] [hide=V. Tips and Tricks] If you're looking for tips on specific areas, check their section in the guide. -Always check an item's price before buying it. This does not mean check a price guide, go over to the item's zone and look! Price guides can be dramatically off, I personally rarely use them since there's not really one certain guide everyone agrees on. -When buying an item that's on the lower side of the demand scale, try to haggle the price down by 5 or 10k to save a bit of cash. If it's a hard item to sell (like a Dragon Halberd <_<), they are usually willing to accept a slightly lower payment. Haggling drastically lower will cause them to find another buyer and leave you in the dust, so watch the line and don't cross it. -As often as it's said elsewhere, Always, always, ALWAYS check the second trade screen! A scam is always possible and this place is prime target so you must remain watchful! -No matter what area you're in, keep an eye out for a good deal. You never know when a quick buck pops out of nowhere because someone sold an item at a rediculously low price because they couldn't find a buyer elsewhere (they're likely in the wrong area )[/hide] [hide=V. July 7, 200718 yr Author Really helpful, but that many people buying and selling give me a headache, I just use fourms. Forums and W2 each have its ups and downs, but if you need something in a timely manner W2 is laid out here for ya :) and if not then you have the forums (which can be just as hellish :anxious:) There's cake through here, apparently.
July 7, 200718 yr Lately, Area A is also used for Dragon Arrows and Darts, and directly to the south of it are where Dragon Full Helmets and Visages/Shields are sold. Jack of all trades, master of thieving. 259th to 99 thieving. All stats 75+
July 7, 200718 yr Uhhh, theres allready another guide on this =\Why don't you just go post in all merchanting, and barrow guides to say there are already guides like that. They all have different tactics, setups, and stats. ;] Click here for my Falador World 2 Bank/Park and Price GuideClicky click for Recipe for Disaster Weapons and Gloves Guide!Proud owner of a Woodcutting Cape - Sunday, Febuary 11th, 2007Proud owner of a Flecthing Cape - Sunday December 16th, 2007
July 7, 200718 yr Guthans should get his own area, it reallly is one. It's just west of C. 3Age is just under the shield shop, also definitely has is own area. Elegant sets are around the two trees, just south of the dungeon. I've never seen them anywhere else. I think this older guide is better (if it wasn't outdated). Uhhh, theres allready another guide on this =\ Lol! Guess who made that guide? And as I said, yours is better, but outdated. And both TT item sections aren't very strong. When everything's been said and done, more has been said than done. All skills 80+
July 7, 200718 yr Well Im on vaction so i'm not able to get on alot. And this guide just says what items are in there. Mine tells the excact items and prices. I think this older guide is better (if it wasn't outdated). I realise they both have their sections, but they (especially guthans) both have small areas and due to lack of size on my map I didn't want to crampen it anymore  Uhhh, theres allready another guide on this =\Why don't you just go post in all merchanting, and barrow guides to say there are already guides like that. They all have different tactics, setups, and stats. ;] You just killed your own argument  Lately, Area A is also used for Dragon Arrows and Darts, and directly to the south of it are where Dragon Full Helmets and Visages/Shields are sold. July 10, 200718 yr Accutaly I didn't. Since These guides are pretty similar. Just your's doesn't have prices and my prices are updated and have been. Kayy? And I can just report for spaming... Also your guide isn't ULTIMATE if it doesn't have a price guide and why did you even make another guid when there is another and you know I'm gonna argue about it. July 14, 200718 yr Author Accutaly I didn't. I'm sorry I don't feel like visiting W2 and the forums daily to keep up with prices. And also, not to flame Jesse here, but his guide for merchanting was the same as yours in terms of upkeep in prices, but eventually that effort dies away and it'll stop. I just chose not to even start it. Also, who's guide has descriptions and tips on the areas? Top me there, amuse me. There's cake through here, apparently.
July 14, 200718 yr And also, not to flame Jesse here, but his guide for merchanting was the same as yours in terms of upkeep in prices I don't focus the acutal prices in my guide; I focus mainly on how to merchant. The basics you need to know and how to become a succesful merchant. :) Of course there will always be more than one guide of something.
