Post on number of skill cape owners?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I seem to remember having read a post about how many skill cape owners there are of each skill type. I can't find the post. Do you know which post this is? Do you have the URL?

TIA

ABel

Just check the hiscores really. Just type in random ranks and go from there to 13,035,000 xp. Then look at the number which the last one is at.

Quit RuneScape :)

Of course, basic maths would urge me at this point to say the number of people at Level 99 ̢̢̮ââ¬Ã°Ãâà the number of skill cape owners.

I have no idea what topic you're on about really either. I'm kinda new to the General board.

Ill look into this.

Fishing currently has 2,623 Skill capers.

Hunting only has 763 skill capers

Mining has 504 skill capers

Prayer has an amazing amount, 2,362

Slayer, as I expected, has only 347

there are some people 1xp from a skill 99 so u can count every day :P

Those numbers are obviously not correct any more.

And it's impossible to know how many skill capes there really are, because of f2p and quitters.

When everything's been said and done, more has been said than done.

All skills 80+

How many do you think there are quest capers out there?

Not all ppl buy the capes.

Not all ppl buy the capes.

Well this is me saying this but most likely 99% of the people here will agree with it...

If you had a 99...Why in your right mind would you NOT want to buy a skill cape lol. Unless your F2p of course...Or if for some extremely outrageous reason you spend every last penny you have on a 99 skill then are too lazy to earn a measly 99k just to buy a skill cape and quit right there on the spot...

Not likely though :D

You might not wanna buy the cape because you have a better cape. It'd be kinda pointless to spend 99k on a cooking cape if you have a construction one.

i have 99s in attack, str, defence and hp. Got myself a defence cape the day they were release because i was near lumbridge, realised they were overpriced at 99k and just banked the cape and put on my way better fire cape. That cape is still rotting in my bank. Fire cape owns in terms of stats except prayer bonus with a skill cape trimmed.

I'd say there would be 1k+ people who quit before skill capes and/or will not buy them.

Doomy edit: I like sheep

Also, some ppl have 99s in many skills

and there are going to be less people with quest capes at certain times expecaly after hard quests

yes but they come in different emotes and trims, which makes them unique in each cape. i personally would spend 99k on every single 99s i achieve.

I do have a useful bit of information.

The last time I checked (and I just did a few days ago) the skills with the least number

of people at 99 were:

Construction

Herblore

Agility

In that order. Construction only has like, 160 people. I guess when you can build your Demon

Throne at 96 using tea, there's no real reason to go any further. 96 to 99 Construction east up

alot of money.

My greatest ambition is to kill every member of the human race.

However I am a realist and therefore know that I probably wont be able to.

Well, to put my .02 in the thread I started myself, between rank 10,000 and Skill Cape there is a lot of road to be travelled. I'm rather fond of Crafting, and number 10,000 has 2,210,362 experience. Level 99 with 13,035,000 XP seems unreachable :boohoo: (world smallest violing playing worlds saddest song)

I do have a useful bit of information.

With tea and saw that would only require 93 construction, and if you substitute the tea for a (reasonably expected) +4 bonus from spicy stew, then you only need 92. Theoretically you can get up to +6 bonus from stew, but I think +4 is where you draw the line of what you can reasonably expect to get from a few hours of work gathering the spices.

Going from 92 to 99 construction would cost more money than going from 1 to 92. :-/

On the other hand, only 378 people have the even theoretical required minimum of 90 construction. Seems like not a very popular skill to level high anyways. And really, once you are able to build gilded altar, going above is really a waste of money that nobody but the most determined (and richest) skillers would want to take.
