Mr Hyde will always ask you for the highest herb in your inventory and if you have none he will ask you for a guam leave ( the lowest herb )

You need 12 KC to get a D med at barrows

You only need to buy a quest cape once... after the new quest comes out you can no longer wear it but you can still have it in your bank/inventory until you complete the quest.

There are 8 penguins which you can talk to in their ice "lair" and more at the agility arena

In RSC they used certs instead of bank notes and wear used only for specific items (ores, fish etc) and in some of Jagex's updates they are still refered to as certs (certificates)

In RSC the main trading area for F2P was draynor due to the fact that certs were traded in there

~Hope this helped some of you understand certs ::' ~

OK. Whoever believes this is wrong, you can get any item with a kill count of 1. The Barrows Brothers drop all the runes, racks, d meds, barrows items when they die. Killing Monsters other than the Barrows Brothers are for no extra items, nor give bonuses. I remember a PM with Jagex staff saying that Kill Count is just to see how many Brothers you have killed.

Anyone who thinks differently can talk to the hand. =;

Seeing this topic made me realise that there's so much I don't know about RuneScape. I only have a few interesting things to add...

1. Most dungeons seem to be connected. Whether it's easier to script everything on a plane, or Jagex wants to give RS some consistency, I may never know. One of the ones that wasn't mentioned in this thread is that you can see the Enchanted Axes (or similar) area of Taverley Dungeon from a section of the Dwarven Mines.

2. A graphical glitch: When you wear the Jester legs from the Freminnik Isles quest, your cape appears through them, as if dangling from the top half of your body in the front. It's hard to explain and looks really odd. Wear it to find out for yourself.

3. Though the new mining makes everything a little difficult, it also opens new realms of possibility. Next time you're mining iron with another iron directly to your right or left, try doing the three taps and then quickly switching. If done correctly, you should automatically get the ore out of a rock without showing the mining emote.

4. Teleporting for experience is boring. There are a few ways to spice it up. If you're doing Camelot teleport, try running to Seers bank and teleporting half way through. It wont interrupt the command to run, you'll keep attempting to do it, no matter how often you teleport, until you reach your destination. Even more fun is when you click attack on a unicorn and then teleport. You'll hunt it down till it's dead or you run elsewhere, no matter how many times you teleport.

Ignotum per Ignotius

Did you know..

..that rune claws are the only smithable weapon with a special attack?

..that if you get a slayer assignment of skeletons (not uncommon at burthorpe) you can kill the skeletons in the Barrows minigame or other high-lvl skeletons to get more experience?

..that the attack delay occurs after you swing your sword/shoot your arrow so if you change from a dragon halberd to a whip just after you hit with it you have to wait unnaturally long?

..that clicking "make all" for 2 potions is considerably slower than the old way of quickly clicking the 2 unfinished potions and the 2 second-ingredients?

..that you can speed up most actions with long animations by trying to do it again before it is finished? Adding coal to the heater of the blast furnace can be done almost 3 times as fast as usual this way, but the timing must be exactly right.

..that when you ride a mine-cart and you lag a bit whilst the new map is loading, the cart sometimes appears to go off the track?

..that the Chivalry drains your prayer less quickly than using 3 regular +15% boost prayers?

..that the Lunar spell "Spellbook Swap" (req: lvl 96 magic, Dream Mentor) is extremely good even though it is rarely used? You could cast both teleblock and ice barrage yourself using that spell, have access to all teleports, and that at the cost of only a few extra runes!

Anyway, I don't know whether this is before or after the new trading interface, but:

I bet yoiu never knew...

...if you follow someone, and they offer to trade with you, when you have finished the trade, you will carry on following them!

Did you know...

...Runescape has a calendar now! It's mentioned in the Postbag from the Hedge that came out in the last few hours. There are 10 months, each ranging from 31-40 days. (Yes, there are leap years too!) I determined today's date, July 30, to be Fentuary 30th.

Did you know..

...that Runescape has had a calendar for quiet some time. If you don't believe me, go to the lighthouse and check out Jossik's journal. It has months and dates in there, and it was out far before these postbags from the hedges of which you speak.

Did you know . . .

that if an item appears on water, it will instantly vanish?

I hope no one has already posted this (if they have...sorry!)

Did you know that you can travel from Brimhaven to Shilo Village (and vice versa) via the cart for only 10gp? Just make sure you're only carrying 10gp in your inventory and the driver will ALWAYS ask for 10gp to travel there!

NOTE: This won't work if you have 11gp or more with you.

I bet you didn't know..

 You cannot get unindentified snapdragon! You can get these by farming and from the brimhaven agility arena. But then they are ID'ed. There have been confirmations about randoms giving UnID'ed Snapdragon

 (nr. 10 last one I promise!) The so called 'Gnome Pods' from the minigame 'Gnome Delivery' can teleport you directly to the Grand Tree! This makes a hard trip a heck of a lot easier. Although they aren't a common reward from the minigame, they are 1) stackable 2) tradeble 3) Slow and Fast way of teleporting. They can even give some farming experience. Read more about these Gnome Pods on the Minigame Guide on Tip.it

I have gotten the unid'd snapdragon from randoms (i cant remember which, unfortunately...

Did you know that you can;t lose your cat.

what exactly do you mean? that if you are running and your cat reaches the edge of your minimap, that it will appear right behind you?

did you know that...

no matter if your cat is the most valuable thing in your inventory, you will always lose it if you die

also...

you can make your own fish food by getting a box from the guy you buy the tiny net from and combine it with ground guam and ground kelp (rfd pirate pete subquest to get to the kelp)

did you know that...

one way to get to the Gnome Stronghold without the spirit trees or having to walk all the way from Ardy is to use a Games Necklace Teleport to Barbarian Outpost, and take a shortcut behind the Grand Tree

One more thing...

Even if you're defense or attack has been lowered, you can still equip items that require a higher lvl? (eg.- Equip dragon stuff at 45/60 atk or def)

OK, i lied. Another thing...

You can get extra molten glass (and, i believe more experience) if you cast the Lunar Spell "Super Glass Make"

When will it stop... :wall:

You can access the bank at Lunar Isle without a Seal by talking to the furthest east banker (From the pirate ship, unsure of his name. You can tell it's him because of the parrot on his shoulder, lol.)

OK, i'm done after this one...

One easy way to get to the green dragons north of the forgotten cemetary (and also to those pesky green dragon autoers...) is to use an Edgeville teleport and then take the canoe to the wilderness point and walk a little further south-by-southeast (and you also avoid the RC pkers or any other pkers that may be close to the ditch of stupidity)

Did you know that...

...In RSC, Jagex mods did not have the "Mod" in front of their names? Also, Andrew was infamous for standing on the Nature Rune Island in the lava maze and ranging people? Only other rangers could retaliate, because there was no way a normal character could get there.

Did you know, that among the many colour codes, yellow: actually works?

the only thing is, yellow is the default colour so there's no difference

ex. "yellow:moo!" would turn out as "moo!" in yellow

Yayyyyyy...

Did you know..

...that in RSC, you could type in black as well? And if you used various color codes throughout your message while typing it, it would show up in those colors. But when you sent it, it showed up with the initial color and the rest of the color codes showed up?

while you are a monkey on ape atoll, you never get a random, EVER!

after you get agility level 75, you never fail ape atoll agility course.

you will never burn pies using lunar spells, and get full experiance for cooking them.

the game asks you if you really want to make your dragonstone into bolt tips.

summer pies also give run energy as well as agility and healing.

you can only have one grown spirit tree a time.

nature ammys can not be traded after they are enchanted.

items with (kp) poison cannot be traded.

there is a lone whiteberry spawn in ishdar (i forget the name for the elven lands) that spawns quickly and is easier to get to than others.

unid snapdragons are given as a random reward

if doctor jeckel appears, try to grab a cadentyne herb before talking to him, the reward is a super restore (4)

you do not need to take your pouches into the abyss to be repaired.

(i didnt know this till a few months back, so for those who dont know. man, did i alch alot at the bank :wall: ) you can high alch items in noted form.

you can get more than 1 rune defender, no need to keep addy, unless you want to. ( if you only have 1 rune defender and lose it, and no other defenders, you must start over, so at least have two rune defenders before dropping your addy)

tuna potatos, manta rays, and sea turtles all heal more than shark.

mantas and turtles can only be caught on the fishing trawler.

dagannoth hides are used to make skeletal, rockshell, and spined armor.

you can pay to have your trees and allotments watched (prices vary), and they never die.

you can get slayer assignments and sand using lunar spells, no need to visit bert anymore.

if you lose your god book, it will be replaced for free at the lighthouse.

there is a great source of gold rocks on north west side of kramja island.

you can buy a cool amulet from the makeovr mage, worthless, but cool.

enchanted ruby necklaces cannot be traded.

you can buy plant cure from the people who watch your crops for less than the farming store sells them for.

you cannot make "x" serum 207.

certain random food rewards must be destroyed insted of droped.

damaged armor can be repaired in your house, if you have proper repair bench.

you will still burn sharks at 99 cooking (without gauntlets).

dorgashem (goblin city) agility course has shortcut to kalphites.

the dagger reward from contact (keris? i forgot the name), knocks the tar outta kalphites (not sure about the name) , better than whip.

400th post! Now I need to edit this to make it not spam... :-k

Did you know, RuneScape used to be known as Devious MUD.

It was also designed for friends, but it was released publically!

At this stage you used to be able to attack people outside the wilderness.

There was also a three hit rule which meant you had to make 3 hits in combat before running

You also couldn't eat during combat.

Purple party hats were Pink, and they were also the rarest, with blue being the most common! The pink ones were duplicated the most, and they were then the most common, but nobody duplicated the blue, so they were the rarest!

Kaitnieks was famous for duplicating loads of party hats, more than anyone else.

When RS2 was formed, Pink party hats were made into Purple Party Hats!
