Harry Potter: The Order Of The Phoenix

i think it was pretty good although there were very annoying parts

[hide]the fact that Chos friend didn't tell about the DA and Cho did

The Dementors looked weird and I imagined them different and to me they looked different to the dementors in the 3rd movie, like the 1 on the train compared to the ones in the tunnel, maybe because the one on the train didnt have its hood off, anyway need a smaller mouth, looked weird

When sirius died when the killing curse hit him he looked stunned and looked at harry, and in the 4th movie when cedric died he flew through the air, and died straight away[/hide]

And the fact that a killing curse hit him was off too. +The killing curse would of killed him right away. I guess you could argue the fact that Bellatrix Lestrange didn't mean it enough.

Anyways the portrayal of Belleatrix Lestrange was really good. And Luna was great in this movie. But alas it strayed too far away from the book.

I haven't read any of the books or watched any of the movies and I still thought that the movie was pretty good. :D I think I'm going to start the series...

Don't argue with him! He strikes me as very intellegent and well informed. :P

I can see the 7th book being split into two movies, because even thought it have a little more text than the 6th, it wad twice as much content. When I was finished, I felt like I read two books because of how much happened in that one book.

Yeah if you consider camping and aimlessly bumping into things while wondering "what shall we do today!!?" content, then I agree!

It was a good film, but imo it will never live up to the book. I guess the same with the next two

It was a pretty good film, I've seen better and I hate the 20minutes of 3D if you saw it at IMAX, idky I just hated it in 3D. Anyway the lady from the ministery reminded me of two of my teachers in 8th grade(hehehe).

it was a good movie but they left out sooooo much detail. even if they had everything in there and it was a 6 hour movie i'd still watch it..but it was good

Never take life too seriously, nobody gets out alive.

It was a bit of a letdown, IMO.

[hide]The bit when the Hall of Prophecies collapsed was cool, but a bit pointless, I mean, when I read it in the book, I didn't think they'd knock the whole freakin' place down, lol.

The Dementors looked like crap. In one of the books they were described as "unseen" mouths, and I'm damn sure they also had hoods.

And Sirius wasn't hit by a killing curse in the book, he was hit by Reducto or something and got thrown through the veil and disappeared.

Ron calling that kid a tosspot was so funny.[/hide]

When they were like, "Well, he's back." Half the people in the audience were like, "No freaking duh!"

sleep like dead men

wake up like dead men

Saw it last night, I enjoyed the most out of the films, but looking back on it it did feel a little rushed. It might have been necessary but it seemed like it was a quick once over summary in motion for those who've read the book, instead of a proper treatment.

That said, I enjoyed the final battle, it was very climatic. The main actors have all matured quite well, I thought Daniel Radcliffe might have been a bit forced but that doesn't matter too much, he got better towards the end. I thought that Luna girl was lovely, she came across as a bit annoying to me in the book but I loved her portrayal in the film.

All in all, good and worth watching, but not brilliant.

Especially considering the book is the longest in the series... The American version is 870 pages long.

SWAG

Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on.

The movie was pretty boring at the beginning, but so was the book :P At the end (the last hour actually) it got much better, and the final battle was very good. I love how Fudge walked in as Voldemort disappeared and just stood there and said "He's Back"

According to imdb.com, the Deathly Hallows movie will come out in 2010. The actors could need to be replaced because Emma Watson (Hermione) will be 20, Daniel Radcliffe (Harry) will be 21, and Rupert Grint (Ron) will be 22, and they all have to be 17 in the movie. I know make-up can do a lot, but 4-5 years younger?

I just saw it again, this time with the last 20 minutes in 3D and with Chinese subtitles.

And it was just as good.

The 3D part was a little awkward...Only parts of the screen were 3D, while parts were 2D.

And Runescapeloser, all of them, except Emma (I think) have been signed for the last 2 movies.

They have all signed for them acording to what i heard.

The movie was alright...it was the best out of them all probably, but still has yet to live up to what should be expected of a harry potter movie.

First off, the battle...Ahh the battle...it seemed well done, but i expected much more. I was expecting to see voldemort with his shield... and dumbledore and fawkes kicking the [cabbage] out of voldemort for 3-4 minutes. Not just a 1 minute battle that doesn't have fawkes or voldemorts shield AT ALL.

Second, no surprise, they got rid of quite a good amount of scenes. On wikepedia it says they cut 45minutes of film. Yeah...i dont know why they would ever have done that. If they would have showed the scenes...would people have complained because they followed the film...?

Third! Ugh Dumbledore has the look and everything...but he doesnt have the soft voice that harris had and doesn't seem to show compassion like I always imagined dumbledore to have.

Fourth...the actors are too old. Theres no questioning that, they are. They are all like 18, in the 5th movie. There already older than they should be if they were filming deathly hallows. IMO deathly hallows isnt going to be that good already just for the fact that your going to be having 21 year olds playing 17 year olds. Personally, i think they should've chucked them all after chamber of secrets, this way they got prisoner of azkaban for the viewers to get used to the new actors. Not like different actors could have made prisoner of azkaban any worse anyway....

Mad props to the people that play umbridge and luna though. Umbridge was exactly as i imagined, as was luna.

Also, they cut st mungos and the mirror.... <.<

And, the conversation at the end between harry and dumbledore was nothing of what I expected. I thought they would at least explain something...but nope..they really didnt.

There were a few good parts of the movie like the battle, but the rest was horrible. I'd have to say that was the worst HP movie.

I think that Harry Potter is a hard story to make into a movie, because there are small things that the movie directors will think they will leave out. But when it comes nearer to the end of the book, they turn out to be important.

Oh, and...

I know make-up can do a lot, but 4-5 years younger?
