malo2 Posted July 12, 2007 Share Posted July 12, 2007 Overview Considering tipit's rather active community, I thought it would be about time to make a player-made guild for all tipiters to gather at, closer than just the same server. before you read any further though, please understand what a player made guild is (surprisingly large number of you probably don't know): A player made guild is a specific set location in a specific world where a large group of people perform the same task together. A well known player made guild would be world 132 Yanille, which is the player made fletching guild. The advantages of being amongst people performing the same task is first of all: the market. When a lot of people train the same skill in one place, then the material suppliers are all attracted to there to sell their supplies. If you have ever been to world 132 Yanille you would have noticed not only the large amount of fletchers, but also all of the people buying/selling logs, strings, and bows, which is exactly what fletchers need. Another reason for player made guilds (pmgs?) is the fact that you can train a skills with people that share your interests. Simply put, you do it for the sake of community. The idea This would be somewhat of a general guild, placed in a location that is good for training in many skills. If tipiters start using this guild, it will not only make tif a more enjoyable community, but it will also create a second Seers Village specially for world 99. The location for this tipit "PMG" is Lumbridge world 99, and here's why: the following is a list of things Lumbridge is potentially useful for, if you are interested in training the skill you are on with your fellow tipiters, look through the list and find what you would consider useful. -Two banks -A range that has less chance of burning than any other standard range -Very good water supply in basement -Home teleport -Very close-to-bank spinning wheel upstairs -1 click bank in basement -Good place for fletching, herblore, crafting, superheat, ect...(using 1 click bank) -A place to alch -Tree patch in the back -Canoe station (for green drags, pking at edge, ect...) -Barrows and axe repair -Willow and oak trees -Excelent food shop in basement -A decent place to firemake (second and top floors/in the court yard on either end of the castle) -Nearby Windmill (with wheat, and cabbage for the OCC :P) -Swamp tar respawns to the south -Decent place to powerfish -Good silver mine in Dorgeshuun mines -Several skill cape sellers -Uncrowded, yet not completely empty -No newbies, a good amount of high lvls are here constantly. -Church for prayer restoration -Good place for beginner thieves (Men/Women) -Good place to get lvl 1 clues (see above or HAM hideout) -Quickest access to swamp cave from basement (for tears of guth, slayer and more) -Agility shortcut to alkhadrid bank to the south -Dragonfire shield from the Duke -Knife respawn in the kitchen -Rats for cat training -Many quest start points -Many essential item spawns -Multiple decent powerming (iron) spots in the Dorgeshuun mines -Quick access to Dorgeskaan (if no teleport spheres) So if you find any of those things useful, then come over world 99 lumby and do it with the other tipiters. We could even get more Non-tip.iters to Join Tip.it if you tell your friends in RS to come to the Player Made Guild. I personally think this is a good idea and would really bring the community together. Think of it as Edgeville on a good day Times 10! All the stupid quirks, crazy cork-i-ness, and funny randomness everyone loves about each other. Not to mention you can discuss current events, weather, prices, rares, whatever! It'll be one large gathering of one of the best communities around. It's more of a hangout then a guild. A guild is supposed to consist of many useful features. Very nice, I fully support, but I couldn't come because in Lumbridge there is no where to fish (besides the new newby spot with shrimp). There's a fly fishing spot a bit north east (across from the furance) if you fancy power fishing. Or you could power fish -> then cook via a fire then drop your fish. gotsol Posted July 12, 2007 Share Posted July 12, 2007 you need to have a world/place that isnt loaded with other people who arnt tip.it people. Every world i see has 100 people in lumby alone. You need a place not so packed all the time with random people. You need a place that has monsters (high-level, good training). This would make people always want to stop by and hang out for 5-10mins and share there day. A place where 1 or 2 good Money making sources are around, and the bank is used frequently by the people that use that method of training. Thats why I think it should be canafis. Canafis (spell check pl0x) this city has the slayer tower which has bloodvelds (spell check), abysal demons and more to much to list. It is one of the closest cities to barrows which we all know is very very popular. Its near some what ghost ahoy You were counting hams so i thought this might count. You can also of course fletch there which i believe is more in the open then maybe fletching or crafting hides in the basement of some city or on the top of it. Canafis also has the only spot to get mort mushroom things for heblore. Also there is werewolves right next to the bank which is often a slayer monster for some people. Slayer master right down the road where you can buy supplies from. A clothe store with all sorts of colors, A food store Where u can buy rarely though raw sharks and other food. The taxadermy to stuff your monsters to put up on your wall at your house. Also your house can be set up to allow you to go directly to canafis. Canafis also has A large number of quest that go through it. The experiments are also right down the road for pures and mid lvl training (there awesome). Im sure im missing alot of stuff but i hope some of you are getting the feel for where im going with this.
