July 15, 200718 yr wow you guys really don't know good/inspirational music. Yes, I realise that you define the content of those categories. Anyway, 'inspirational' is a very obscure word. Most of the music I listen to is inspirational in some way, I come up with ideas for situations, plot lines, visuals and scenes for films when I listen to music.
July 15, 200718 yr The album 'Minus The Herd' by Ion Dissonance. Especially the outro to 'Kneel' when the singer repeats 'Sealed you doom' over that insane riff.
July 15, 200718 yr Too many, but will name at a later date. And man, can't you think of something deeper than "Good Charlotte", "Linkin Park" and "Greenday" to inspire you? Thats kinda sad considering the amount of music out there thats superior in every single way. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.
July 15, 200718 yr I think System of a Downs "Sugar" and "Mind" inspired me to think twice about the things that are being told to me at school, and on the news. And KoRns "Daddy" makes me feel emo sometimes. Blog.

Thats kinda sad considering the amount of music out there thats superior in every single way. Yes, because clearly, music found inspirational by one individual has to qualify to the subjective label "deep". Personally, I try to keep my playlists down to songs I "feel" for - quite a lot of the time's there's a direct relation to what I was doing and how I felt when I heard it the first time, though some songs have gained their "emotional imprint" by being run while I do something else. Either way, they're all meant to be "inspirational" in one way or the other, so I'll just name a few of the more commonly represented artists and some of their songs, as well a few notables. System of a Down (Chic N Stu, Toxicity) Billy Talent (Red Flag, Fallen Leaves, Voices of Violence) Raised Fist (Some of these times, Illustration of Desperation) Nine Inch Nails (Survivalism, The Good Soldier) And a few "one hit wonders in my personal playlist": 3 Doors Down(Kryptonite) Raconteurs(Steady, As She Goes) Moby(Extreme Ways) -This message was deviously brought to you by:

Yes, because clearly, music found inspirational by one individual has to qualify to the subjective label "deep". Deep isn't an entirley subjective label, and even if it was what is your point? July 15, 200718 yr Deep isn't an entirley subjective label, and even if it was what is your point? "Deep" music being the only music able to serve as inspirational music is [cabbage]l. -This message was deviously brought to you by:

July 15, 200718 yr Trail of broken hearts - Dragonforce That one song stands above all the other songs i listen to as the one that inspires the most emotion.
July 16, 200718 yr most of A Perfect Circle's work is really great music but i would have to say their cover of "Imagine" is the best oh and also Tools "Third Eye" is great. Maynard FTW A resounding and profound ditto. I Maynard, Tool and APC. Third Eye is incredible. I've always got those words tatooed on my brain - "Prying open my third eye."
July 16, 200718 yr the main thing that got me into Third Eye was Hicks talking at the start because everything he says is so true and then the song just keeps getting better :D
July 16, 200718 yr the main thing that got me into Third Eye was Hicks talking at the start because everything he says is so true and then the song just keeps getting better :D Gotta love Bill Hicks! :D I picked up 'Rant in E-Minor' Just the other day. There's something almost hypnotic about how he could make truth wildly hilarious. As the booklet for Tool's CD Aenema puts it - "Bill Hicks - Another Dead Hero." You can probably already tell by my avatar and siggy that I'm a fan. :P
