How about an applet where YOU design the logo? Kinda like in Mario Kart DS, when you could design your own avatar. Then, you could pass on those logos across the community by posting your logo into a kinda board, where other players can retrieve the logo from.

I suppose the amount of people hating others for their country would increase, people would be saying "but im from venezuela..wheres OUR flag?". Jagex would have to pick the obvious countries like england, france, germany etc and the little ones would be annoyed. Plus we'd end up with a british flag which i HATE, english flag > union jack, i dont want to be thought of as possibly scottish..or even welsh -.-

200 capes wouldn't be that big of an ordeal...but I think it would be cool if you could make you're own custom capes.

 

 

 

In my eyes it would be just a waste of time to design them. I'd rather put a cape designer to the came and let people design their own capes with premade crosses, stripes, colors and symbols. That way racism could be avoided in some cases, many flags could be designed and clans would have more choices for their capes.

 

 

 

I don't think they have to design one for every country... just the major ones. Jagex could qualify this buy saying there must be a minimum of say 250 subscribers from a certain country before a flag will be released for it ;)

I think its just like any other 5 capes that have same shape but different color, and was made the way it is so it would look different from the other 49 capes.

I don't think the entire country flag idea would work though, because there's alot of racist potential there. What low down worm of a player wouldn't pull out a comment about the other player's ethnicity during a disagreement if they knew what it was?

 

 

 

And the whole IP address thing... I would use a proxy server just to get a cape from a different locale *imagines himself flying an Ethiopian flag on his back*.

Well if the cape has the cross of St. Andrew on it and the Jagex work building is called St. Andrew's, then maybe it is just a coincidence but isn't the creator of runescape Andrew Gower.
