purpieman2
JaGEx should get rid of Sandwich lady and Evil Bob instead of axe-randoms... *Turns to Lady* "Ya know, it's very rude to interrupt my fight because you just wanna give some stuff away!!" *Gets hit by stupid baguette* *Founds himself in GDS* *Dies in the middle of a clanwar...* That was true story that happened to me, teled by Lady to gds in the middle of clan-war. The Observer
I just think the macroer programmers didn't develop a script to thwart this new random event yet. In a couple weeks time, you'll notice the macroers slowly creeping back to their spots..

phata_elise
What i don't understand is that it should be pretty easy for jagex to identify macros and gold farmers. Design a script that highlights every account with only one skill really raised. Then detect the movement and action patterns of those accounts. If they are too repetitive, let a human (jagex) mod make a comment towards the accounts. If the don't reply, give them a warning. The second time it is an automatic ban. Gold farmers are more tricky to detect, but i feel that every account with only 1 skill raised should be under suspicion.

Soulthresher
You seem to forget that 80% of these so called autoers are infact goldfarmers. They have a slightly increased awareness of their surroundings but they are still idiots

underu2000
It would be fine for dragon axes to be invincible, as long as they have some other required skill other than woodcutting. Possibly a strength requirement of 40 or so. I'm sure goldfarmers and autoers would be hard pressed to train their accounts. And it wouldn't hurt for skillers to use rune axes anyway. Life is a joke. Yeah, I don't get it either.
ventuzz
Don't jump to conclusion guys. When I was around Draynor doing thing, I saw first dying macro 1 or 2 days after the new update. He was poisoned, he dropped broken axe and yews. I guess he got random-event'd twice. I think new update is working against macro, 1 point for Jagex. Hacked 10 years old account, permamently quit if Jagex doesn't return items.

coenvg
It might be the wrong place to post this, but why doesn't Jagex add a picture of a random secret code (like you are oftenly getting when you want to join a forum) which you'll have to type in the screen after loging in I dont think I'm very clear so I made a screen. Shot at 2007-07-21 Dont you guys think this is gona work out? These symbols are hard to indentify for a scanning programme because of the white lines . What's your opinion about my suggestion? d3nic
Jagex aint just trying to make the game harder for the autoers.... They are making it better for the current players. When your axe head comes off it can cause problems... Sometimes they can be so hard to find, and if you had a dragon axe and didn't find the axe head, you've lost a lot of cash. This is an actual good update for the honest players of RuneScape.

These symbols are hard to indentify for a scanning programme because of the white lines . What's your opinion about my suggestion? That has already been done in RSC. Ever heard of fatigue? Every action you did made you more 'fatigued'. When you hit 100% fatigue you had to sleep. You could sleep by using a sleeping bag and then filling in such a code. Guess what? Autoers found a way around it. I even was part of the cheating community back then. Someone (TIF rules forbid me to say who) created a program wich you just had to turn on while autoing and sent a screenshot of the word, wich you had to fill in when sleeping, to another person who was using that program and he filled in that word for you. It worked flawless  So basicly: 1) You take a few minutes to fill in enough words for other people and get lots of credits. 2) You turn your own auto on combined with this program 3) You go do something else while your character is doing what you want 4) When it gets fatigued someone fills in a code for you 5) Next day you repeat this process. Don't forget allot of autoers do it for the rush of beating Jagex with these kind of things. It indeed feels good if you can outsmart someone 8-) - Back to casual f2p scaping due to limited time (university and girlfriend ) -

Well, someone could just type it in and then let their autoer run loose and it will be useless. Besides if you log-in to the wildy with that, you are basically screwed. Or doing fight caves and taking a break in between, you'll be dead before you even finish that code-entering. Check out my blog! (Click the image) Thanks to Stalesoul for the sig! Dragonlordjl
Nah, it's a good idea, but like somebody said, all they'd have to do is fill in the code and then let the macro do the rest. They need a random event that requires something like that.

That is just a ridiculous idea, they're not bots anymore, its all chinese goldfarmers. That won't stop them at all and that idea would get more people killed unless they made it where you didn't log in until you complete the code. This would be so entirely annoying! I already think it is a pain that I have to wait 30 seconds between changing worlds, but you add this on top of typing in my password and then putting in my Bank Pin and you are asking way to much. I can't even stand that the screen pops up, because while you are looking at the screen, your character is standing in the game. This is terrible for logging into the wild or around monsters. Also just logging in would take too long and changing worlds would be painful. I don't like that suggestion at all. .. how bout if u dont talk for 5 minute su havr to type a totally random amount of letters and numbers? Five minutes isn't a long time. I can go way longer without talking in game. If I had to make sure I was typing something every 5 minutes I would probably just keep one key punched down while I played the game. Not only would that be easy for macros to get around, it would be such a pain for regular players.
blosssom2581
First, I'd like to point out that MACROERS DON"T pick up axes heads. I've seen numberous axe head lying on the ground. But anyway, macroers knows that and got used to that. Most of them uses iron/steel axes which are easy to replace. Few of them uses rune axes (yes, they uses them. I see most of them behind Varrock Castle) but anyway, they are only minority. The majority uses steel axes which is easy to replace It seems that they've got hundreds of axes in bank and bring 2~3 with themselves when working so that the Ent / loosing axe head random don't deter them much, yet they do fall victim to BOTH of them This is based on my WC exp in f2p worlds. Sometimes, when they die due to randoms, i can see their death pile is full of broken axes / axe handles... Back to the point, I think that broken axe random should be kept while the sandwich [cabbage] should be taken away, as that [cabbage] is the most hatred.
