Varrock Library - Unknown?

Recommended Posts

Well, recently I have been browsing all forums and came to the varrock library section. I myself used to frequent it but haven't been there for a while.

I feel that it is a somewhat hidden forum that people don't even know about!

If you enjoy reading, you should definetly go check out some of the stories!

I feel some of them are rather impressive and they should get the respect the deserve

(No, this is not a plug for my writing)

True its not very popular. But most people browse this forum while playing RS so dont really have time to read a whole story.

What's really differant than reading a post every time you click a monster or reading part of the story each time your able to go afk? You'll either read like 5 posts or read a story. Doesn't seem any different to me.

The stories are often uninspired. True, there are the rather interesting stories, but eventually even the most staunch readers will find tales of knights, mages, dragons and history boring after a while. And to make it worse, they aren't official, so there isn't any real need to read it. It's all just fan-fiction.

That being said, i do read some stories once in a while, they're not too bad.

Life is a joke. Yeah, I don't get it either.

Because you usually read posts in topics you are interested in, thus the posts themselves are interesting, not to mention you can afk train while reading posts.

Many people I know dont even bother reading storylines, including myself. I could care less about the intracate gods stories, etc, but I still do appreciate the effort on Jagex's part.

If it became very well-known, it would be overrun by immature young kids, much like the Stories section on the Official Forums. I wouldn't mind that, though.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

I used to go there, it used to be one of the forums that I used to automatically go to and I always had my favourite stories but lately I have not been. I think most of the youth of today would rather go kill a mith dragon than read a long story telling them how somebody else did it.

To be honest I really don't care much about it anymore. I put together a Tip.It Times article for it a while back. There's too many people who just don't take the trouble of reading the writing guide and just dump their stuff in there without so much as spellchecking.
