mlb.com showing all of Barry Bond's at-bats live!

Featured Replies

If you go to http://mlb.com you will be able to watch all of Barry Bond's at-bats live on an online media player as he tries to break Hank Aaron's home run record. I'll be sure to record each and every at-bat, that would be amazing if I could record the record-breaking home run, except most of their games are at 10pm for me :P

I don't like him either, but it's still cool that they're doing this, either way Alex Rodriguez is going to break the record eventually :P

It's not cool, it's stupid.

I don't think it's worth it seeing an old guy (not) hit home runs... There's way too much hype.

he should have about 600 home runs now, if you decrease his home run totals to 32 each year during his juicing years (his average before then)

I dont care what anyone says. he is with out a doubt the greatest all around player of all time.

753 home runs, approaching 3000 hits, 500+ sb's(only member of the 500-500 club) 8 gold gloves, a career OBP of something like 450 and dont forget silver slugger.

how can you argue that he isnt at leastttt the greatest all around play to play the game(if not just the greatest period)

Look its rob!

Rob. Great players don't need steroids to help them become a great player. =;

i didnt know steroids help you steal bases, feild and get all those hits(not that it is proven he takes steroids)

Do you know what the word 'steroid' means?

There's UNDEINABLE evidence against him!

See this great article.

Steroids do help you with all of those, so stop being a smart [wagon].

They increase speed because they give you more endurance to practice, although I'll admit most of his steals were before he juiced.

Fielding can be helped because of the same reason, more endurance means for practice.

And hitting, how can steroids NOT help hitting? It gives you more strength, which means you can hit the ball harder and farther, and more often because you can swing the bat faster.

And read the book Game Of Shadows, there's your proof.

Err what would be so great about recording it? It will be recorded by thousands of cameras anyway. I think its interesting that Bud Selig finally said that he would try and be there when he hits the record breaking homerun.

You can watch all the live at-bats on ESPN anyway. Whenever he's at-bat they usually interrupt whatever show is normally on so they can show his at-bat.

Not all of us have ESPN, or a TV for that matter.

not everyone has espn i can understand, but in todays society not having a tv? u gotta be kidding.

who would have a compuer but not a tv. u either would have both or neither

I find it exciting that someone could break the record again. Yes he may have the steroid stories following him (not saying its true that he used them, I have not done enough look into it) but come on, it's breaking a record. I was annoyed at Bud Selig, he was full of bull crap. Not attending the game of the century when the record is broken because he "may" have used roids is bogus. I was watching Baseball Tonight and Kruk gave a valid point. "Show up to the games and witness the feat that is about to happen, and if he did use roids, tell the press that you did not know of them at that time, and you were fullfilling the Commissioners duties and watching the games." Thats what I believe in.

A reflection is just a distorted reality held by glass and your mind.

Curt Schilling came out and bashed McGwire and Bonds for their reported silence on the steroids issue. Silence implies guilt and i believe in this case it holds TRUE. and to me just like autoers on this game, i dont think its fun to watch some guy break an almost impossible record who cheated their way to get there

take a look at Barry Bonds body mass from when he was a YOUNG player to being 43? hes nearly twice the size, in professional sports ur body breaks down when u get older for most and certainly ur body mass doesnt nearly double from ur 20s to ur 40s unless ur taking something.

with the exception of shaquille o'neal, other than that. theres NO ONE in professional sports. Is this just an exception like shaq? lol i think not

I never said I believed he has or has not done steroids. There is always the chance that he has, but he is innocent until proven guilty which Bud Selig should have done as Comm. That's what I have a problem with, not whether he did them or not.

Oh and about Shaq, it could always be a chance that he used them too, because if you base off the fact that if your mass increases as you play sports which then means you used steriods. I don't take that is liable evidence in no way.

A reflection is just a distorted reality held by glass and your mind.

Babe Ruth FTW.

Only similarity was the homeruns between the babe and bonds. no way he was better.

How many steals do you think babe ruth had?and i am sure he was a great fielder

He was also at one point a very talented pitcher. That however is beside the point. The point is that although this will be possibly the greatest achievement in baseball of our lifetime, thier will always be an asterisk next to his name. In his interviews he says that he thought he was putting on flaxseed oil, and not a steriod. I mean truthfully how beliveable is that. I personaly dont belive it should be celebrated, but to each his own i guess.
