O well that scam works perfectly hehe. Not dumb people who does this. But never take up 3 b axes, or something that you know is worth more then a whip. The worst thing about this lure is that you can't even report for that, the lure is YOUR OWN FAULT.

Simply avoid the wilderness when people ask you to bring expensive items, even if it is a Dragon battleaxe. Plus, you were asked to bring *noted* Dragon battleaxes with you to make a video. Why would you even need that at all? :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:

Use your common sense and never go into the wilderness unless you are going into it yourself to do your own thing.

Here' some of my tips. :D

1. NEVER trade in the wildy. It is a pretty common scam and if someone says they can only sell you something in the wildy, do NOT go in and trade no matter how good the deal is. you might end up getting killed and losing a lot of money.

2. Trust Games: A very common way of people using throw-away accounts, (Probably from drop-trading) and claiming they will give you a mil if you trust them. Follow-to-wins are most likely scams and you should never engage in a trust game.

3. Item Switching: ALWAYS check the second trade screen no matter if you have the alarm going off or not.

4. Team Scamming: Team scamming is also another way of scamming and can get quite upsetting if you fall for it. Player 1 will say "Selling Charcoal 1mil" and another player (Player 2) would say "Buying charcoal, 2 mil"'. New players have an intention of making money and thinks "Oh, I could afford to buy the charcoal from Player 1, so why not buy it and sell it to person 2"? Just as you finishes trading player 1, both people log off losing 1 mil for the player. My tip is, NEVER buy a weird item that serves no purpose for whopping high prices. :D

5. Free Lobs/Show Inventory: Another popular scam and you should really watch out for your trades. The scammer will offer you an items while having you show your inventory. The players gets happy and clicks "Accept" without seeing that they have their inventory in the trade. NEVER trust these person because it will most likely be a scam and report the scammer immediately if you see it happening. ;)

6. Free Armour Trimming/Stat Upgrading: There is absolutely NO way to trim armor, even members. The only way to get trimmed amour is by doing a treasure trail, a members only minigame. If you see this happening, NEVER trade the player and report the person under rule 2, item scamming immediately.

Well, that's all I have for now. Really watch out for your trades and if the deal is too good to be true, it might be. ;)

If given 3 noted "deathkeep" items to displace a more player-valued one, LAUGH if you can protect item, unless they prayer drain you with smite.

If you are going to skull yourself, be extra careful, since you will then be saving 0/1 items instead of 3/4.

They may DROP the "reward", in which case telegrab & run may allow an escape to be made.

The best way to turn the lurer tables, would be to have your own friends attend the occasion, though it's a high risk strategy that needs careful planning.

However, some scammers give you 4 items, so, if you want to risk the chance, get runes for low alchemy, alch one and pray protect item, but this is very risky.

I was buying 6k raw lobs to get to 70 cooking and several scams were used on me but all it takes was common sense.

1. The player tried trading me then running into the wild(this was before the ditch).

2. He offering 600 lobs. *CHECK THE 2ND TRADE SCREEN ALWAYS*

3.He dropped money in the wild to try and lure me out, the funny thing was I had just bought 2k laws and had an air staff, free 200k :XD: .

Anyway, scamming can be avoided by using common sense and being logic.

Another Tip: If it seems to good to be true, it probably is.

For example, "buying a whip for 2m" (the price is around 1,5, just so you know), probably they will remove 1,8m. Or "giving away free sharks, show me your inv first". They hope you'll forget to withdraw your items so that you'll give them your inventory for a couple of sharks.
