How did you make money as a newb?

Featured Replies

I justed mined, smelted and smithed my money...made my frist 20k like that... good times, good times

Same here. First real dose of coins came when I started range training on hill giants. I banked the bones and got my first 1M doing this. Squandered it away eventually, but got a much larger injection of cash through hunter which today is still my fallback money maker when I run out (which I inevitably will!)

Hmm i remember i went cutting willows with a friend and sold those, after that i tried rune ess mining. I made most of my money in F2P mining and smithing and selling the stuff i made. Then i became P2P 8-)

My very first money-making method was to pick up the boot respawn in Al-Kharid and sell to the general for 2gp ea!! Man I thought I was the richest player ever. Then I came across the banana-plantation-thingy at Karamja and made my first 1k.

I wasn't very worried about money. I would spend all days mining and smithing and then bank them. Then I decided I needed to sell them, as they were occupying too much space. xD

Made about 40k that way.

Then I went to steel items and would sell them for 3k a full set.

Later when I became member, I made loads of money through Fletching.

But now, that account is gone... Hacked and banned :(

The first method was mining ores for bronze/iron at the varrock mine, walk to lumbridge to smelt and then smith at the varrock anvils and sell at the varrock general store. Then I moved to cutting willows, then yews. After that I found out how to catch drop traders and eventually got a red mask and santa and sold when they were only worth a few mil each. :(

I mined coal and iron, made into steel bars then into swords which I sold to the sword shop in varrock.

there are no stupid questions

just way too many inquisitive idiots

balance is scary to people who like things easy for them

I made gold jewelry and sold them to the Jewelry shop south of Falador. This was before members in RSC. Never really made alot of money but was able to by full rune for a friend and myself. I was proud of myself.

After 2 days of killing i finally got enough courage to kill a goblin, got like 10 gp, but after a while it stacked to 600 and slowly bought more weapons armor. My "big" money came in when I was finally able to cut yews, at around 200-250 each back then made quite a profit from them.

But in members barrow got me by 1st few mills. Verac helm 1st item ftw

I can remember cutting willows, wishing to get to 60 woodcutting to be able to cut yews and be the richest player in RuneScape. I also killed cows and sold the cowhides in al-kharid for 100gp each.. Good times, good times.
