How did you make money as a newb?

We were all newbs at one time, and we all had our ways of making minimal money, what was yours?

 

 

 

Mine used to be mining rune essences', I would mine 1-5k and sell for 20-40 each. Got my first full rune set, which i sold and bought ranged stuff, and once i got 40 ranged I used dragonhide to kill dark wizards and sell the runes. :mrgreen:

i took the bronze chainbody in dwarven mines and sold it to the general store (42 gold each) and sometimes i killed the dwarves for the bronze/iron bars and i made items with them (short sword sold for the most) so i ended up with over 6k a day :shock: (we had ISDN at that time, wasn't allowed to play too much a day) (was in RSC)

I mined, smelted and smithed ores and then sold the armour/weaponry to the general store. :)

argh i picked them right off those al kharid guards. didnt make much but i started climbing up there! O:)

I cut like 3k willows, Sold 30 ea. Walked around runescape thinking i was supreme rich. :shock:

But mostly i made steel bars and sold for 590ea to a perm buyer. I made 3.2M and bought Full zammy instead of a santa when they were 2M :lol: #-o

I mined/smelted/smithed bronze items, which I sold to the general store. Eventually I mustered up enough courage to do Knight's Sword, and became able to make iron instead. :o

 

 

 

Eventually a friend told me about the massive money to be found in the ess mining business, which was where I made my first 50k or so. About this time I encountered someone doing an air running business and made 60k in a night (no, I didn't know about W16)(no I didn't still have the 50k :P).

 

 

 

Eventually I returned to ess mining, before learning about selling coal, which I did for a brief time until I got into selling steel bars. I read in a moneymaking guide that chopping yews was one of the best ways to make f2p cash, so I went off, got 60 wc, and did that for a long time. I went 60-74 wc at Melzar's Maze :oops: . Made my first million here too.

 

 

 

Then, I became a member, and had heard nature crafting was really good money, so I power-crafted fires to get the required 44 rc, and then off I went. This is how I got my first whip

 

 

 

Eventually, I got into barrows, which is my current moneymaker. It's general better than natures, although it's a little inconsistent at times. But it's fun :

I picked up feathers and sold for 7-10 gpea. I got full zombie that way with 37 prayer and 30str, 30 atck, and 30 def

So long ago, I could well forget tomorrow.

 

 

 

I did newb smithing, just mining some ores, then smelted and smithed them, to sell them at a general store. Lots of unnecessary running around.

I used to mine tin and copper at the Varrock south-east mine, smelt it into bronze bars in the Lumbridge furnace, smith into basic bronze weaponry at the Varrock anvils, sell at the Varrock sword shop, repeat.

 

 

 

I then realized that if I mined and banked, then smelted and smithed, instead of doing the whole routine at once, I could have gone faster. :oops:

Back when I was a newb we didn't have pure ess to mine, or cow hide to collect or those ways where u make a lot of money in no time. U get like 100gp every 2 secs with pure ess or cowhides. (More, im just under exaggerating) Back in rsc we didn't have much other than killin monsters for drops, which I did
