38% of Tip.Iters put stupid made up statistics in their sigs. If you are one of the 62% that don't, put this in your sig.

Having been a massive fan of WWF in my pre-adolescence, then realising it was fake, then realise to appreciate it's meant for entertainment, then realising that WWE is full of crap storylines and terrible athletes - I lost interest in wrestling altogether.

Recently, I checked out TNA - I say checked out, I saw it through my mate's window - and, although I didn't see the 'storyline', the quality of the wrestling looked much better. Plus, they have some better face and heels in it.

Go go TNA I guess :)

I watched the old WWF when I was little with Hogan, Jake the Snake, Sgt. Slaughter, and all those guys. I didn't watch it for a long time then caught the WCW when Goldburg was around. I loved his entrance when he would blow smoke and then do that tackle to nail people. Shortly thereafter I lost interest. I don't know if I grew up or the quality of actors they had and the fun they brought to the scene went down but I can't stand the stuff now. I don't even know what TNA is.

TNA is doing terribly at the moment. They're losing millions a year, and even though they've signed several highly expensive wrestlers (Sting, Christian Cage, Kurt Angle) they still can't seem to improve their TV ratings or PPV buys.

As for the wrestling itself - They seem to be going nowhere fast. They try to be more like WWE by signing heavyweights like Scott Steiner and Andrew Martin, who are inferior performers compared to their X-division wrestlers. Basically they're making a lot of the same mistakes WCW made (you'll notice that WCW went belly up):

  • [*:3dsm774c]They hire celebs that seem to get arrested every other week and aren't even allowed to wrestle (Adam Jones).

[*:3dsm774c]They keep bringing in guys just because they worked for the competition while the most talented guys on their roster keep languishing in midcard hell (guys like Test, who get a PPV main event straight off the bat).

[*:3dsm774c]They seem to have an internal competition amongst your writers to see who can put out the most messed up angle. Right now making fun of Rhino's alcoholism seems to be winning, although Kurt Angle's marriage breaking down just weeks after the Benoit tragedy seems a close second.

[*:3dsm774c]They give matches away for free on TV when they could make them money on PPV. Sting vs. Kurt Angle would be a dream main event on a PPV, but in stead they put it on TV, and make it only three minutes and give it a DQ finish.

[*:3dsm774c]They can't even seem to put a normal 1 on 1 match without any gimmicks on their PPVs.

If wrestling companies would like to stop losing money...Maybe they should involve more "wrestling", hmm? Last time I watch it, it was literally 50 minutes of people talking the ring with a microphone about lame [wagon] story-lines and 10 minutes of very, very, VERY bad wrestling.

They'll go out of business pretty quick here. People are all about the UFC now. It's real and people bleed nightly. Even *I* like the UFC and I think sports in general suck [wagon]. Maybe it's just 'cause I myself am a martial artist, but whatever. :P

The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past.

There are plenty of companies for the more purist wrestling fan. Ring of Honor comes to mind. You can order their DVDs from ROHwrestling.com or order their second PPV, which debuts on InDemand, amongst other channels, September 21st.

WWE yes it is all fake but think of the superstars in past and present:hulk hogan, undertaker, triple h, andre, mankind, hardys.

But most tna superstars are fired wwe, or wwf superstars.

but wwe has the best story lines now:mr. mcmanhon, balls+ kelly, cm punk!

Go !WWE!

Damn!, -Bobbyx2hardy look for my myspace profile it is cc.

TNA. They can actually come up with something original without recycling the same thing a dozen times over. They actually keep it exciting, and actually give the light-weights time to shine unlike the WWE.

Although there isn't many pretty ladies in TNA. :-k
