Card games

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

How many of you play card game? Like Blackjack, etc...

These sort of game are quite hard to practice since as you need at least two people (unless you can always find someone else to play with). So does anyone know any ways in which you can practice without having to have someone else?

I found out that there is more ways of playing Blackjack, different people have different rules.

Online Hearts

I like blackjack too, but I usually end up playing with my dad. :?

Poker is good fun to play with friends sometimes, that's about it.

edit:Texas hold-em rules :P

No-one in my family plays card games really, so does anyone know how I can practice?

I play Texas Hold 'Em, and occassionally 7 card stud and Omaha. Want to learn Chinese poker.

La lune ne garde aucune rancune.

Well most games need at least 2 players, but i guess you could play solitaire or clock solitaire. If you want just hassle your friends or parents to play. You can find rules of games on the net easily :)

And/or play on the internet. You'll pick up quick.

The game that i've been mainly interested in is blackjack (i'll more than likely look into other games in the future).

I was thinking about playing blackjack on the internet, but computers will probably use programmes to play won't they? So therefore there wont really be many strategy's to use really.

Blackjack is about 95% luck anyway tbh,and i think a program should be ok to practice with.

I play the poker on facebook that's about it

A friend to all is a friend to none.

Yeah i seen the vid,he's amazing. The people fromReal Hustle are good too.

You can practice BJ playing against dealer by yourself. Deal one dealer card up and one down, deal both of yours up, then play out your hand. Flip the dealer's down card and hit it if it's under 17 (this is casino rules, the one main variant with BJ, is some casinos dealer hits on "soft" 17 (ace and 8) others they don't). The only thing is if dealer is showing an ace or face card, you can't check for blackjack until you play out your hand.

The people on the real hustle cheat though. derren Browne does it because he remembers where each card is and when to bet.

While on the subject maybe you guys can help me. Cause on my little street we used to play this card game and it was the funnest thing but we cant remember the exact rules or the name so we cant look it up. here is what i remember.

The main point was not to run out of cards. you went around the circle each person flips a card over from his part of the deck. and i also remember if certain cards came up like maybe two of the same face cards in a row or something, not sure, you would have 15 seconds to fight over the cards. we would destroy a deck of cards like everynight but it was so fun. <3:

anyone have any idea of the name or what im talking about?

Look its rob!

I think the name of that game is harry its a 2 player game.

And the rules are split the pack into 2, give half to each player,

then each player turns over a card more or less at the same time until he turns over 6 of them, both the players do that at the same time, now if you see a pair you have to grab it first and put it to your side, this continues until the 12 cards on the table ain't pared up, then you take them and put them at the back of your deck. The winner is the person with the most cards as the losers cards will all run out.

EDIT: have a look on here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Card_games
