Swimming?

I'm afraid of waters with living stuff in them besides humans. Especially the little fish that swims up into the mans *Johnson*

Phew I think I was the only one who is afraid of water livelings. :) Usually thought I don't care about them. Swimming is fun, yeah.

Reality is hundreds of times more beautiful and more interesting than delusions. Fairy tales just tend to be easier to follow than the wonderful intricacies of life.

I myself don't like the idea of swimming in the deep sea, but I always find it perfectly fine once I'm in. It's the same with deep lakes. I think it has to do with not being able to see what's underneat; animals, plants etc.

I remember not being able to swim, but it was never a big problem, as I was always able to float and push myself about. Wow... I've not been swimming for ages, maybe a year or so.

I can swim and love to do it. I've been swimming since about third grade (thats when I first got good at it.) However, I don't like diving inot the pool or doing suface dives that much. (Although My mom taught me how to do surface divesand i can now get someething that is nine feet down.)

I am very athletic, yet I am still unable to swim. :(

I'm actually scared to death of the water though. Well, not really the shallow end so much as the deep end. I can go in a pool and have a good time, but if anyone tries to dunk me they'll most likely get a punch in the groin.

In sal[bleep]er(I live near the beach in Virginia), I'm scared to death of sharks. :(

ok.. this is kinda sad... all these pathetic posts...heres my swimming sorry

i started swimming when i was 2.5 years old. I rescued my first person from the pool (my little brother was drowning, he was 2) when i was 4. I start the swim team at 6 years of age. I was never a very fast swimmer, just a powerful one untill recently. I'm only 13 yet i swim a 28 second 50 freestyle. Swimming is one of the only sports that don't require too much natural athletic ability. I also play water polo.

I can swim, lol. I grew up 5 minutes walking from the beach, I never got any diplomas though. I don't like swimming in a swimmingpool. I love going to the beach, swimming wrestling with mates in the water, I know it's rather childish for a 18 year old, but I like it. :D The sea is so awesome! I might add, I don't mind swimming somewhere with fish or something in it, but I'm scared to death for jelly-fishes, when I see them I run out of the water as fast as I can, people laugh when they see a 6'7" guy running out of the water for a jelly fish. :(

i can swim quite well, about 1 or 2 years ago i was the best in my state in butterfly and freestyle but the amount of time needed to train was too much and now its rare for me to swim more then 2 or 3 times a month

  • 4 weeks later...

I can swim to save my life, but nothing much more. I don't swim for fun, don't intend to either. I don't race or anything, but if I was put in a life or death situation, I would be able to save myself

I had lessons 3ish times a week from 5 years old to 11. I have no qualms with swimming ^-^

For it is the greyness of dusk that reigns.

I learnt to swim one holiday when I was about 14 I think. I can swim quite well I suppose, but I don't like swimming. I get cramp a lot when swimming :x I suppose it's because I'm not used to using certain muscles or something.

One of my good mates is a really strong swimmer. He just had trials for the commenwealth games(think it was that one) in Manchester a few weeks back. I used to sit next to him in a few classes and he stunk of chlorine :P
