GordanFreeman
Highlanders, maybe if you used the words "idiot", "moron", "ignorant", "fool", and "apocalypse" less, people would actually listen to you. Now, now, let's not be so harsh on poor Highlanders. I'm sure it builds his self esteem every time he calls someone an ignorant moron on some forums. But seriously, Ginger Warriror's post was the one that laid it out the most for me. I see myself as an example of the second type of person, over-thinking things most of the time and what not...and I didn't, and still don't, have the highest self esteem. But, it seems like what everyone else is saying is true, as you get older your self esteem grows higher. "El que no arriesga no gana"

IGoddessI
Sorry heartless but it's now my turn to be heartless, you have a long way to go to finish your psychology degree so please keep working on building those interpersonal skills you're supposed to be developing. because you have no clue what its like to go through that Haha, if only you knew. I landed a career out of going around to different high schools, TAFE's and universities talking about my experience with teenage depression. So I would know it from personal experience and from a professional experience. The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours. BlueTear
Wow, you idiot, sure protect your favorite idiot and blame me. Read his message you illerate fool. He said it was "normal" for any child and that it was just growing up, basically saying all the pain I went through was "normal". What an ignorant statement. Believe me, I see you little "normal" people, your suffering is nothing. So basically, by saying it's normal he, trivializes your suffering, which you find highly offensive because you did suffer, unlike all of the other people who posted in this threads whose lives you have absolutely no idea about, but who clearly never suffered as much as you did. ... I'm sorry, but paragraph I forgot whose suffering was being trivilialized and who was doing it. -This message was deviously brought to you by:
Bubsa
What the hell was the basis for highlanders arguement anyway? I mentioned it's normal for children to suffer trauma or abuse - I didn't divulge in the severity of some cases. Nor did I say that there are not people with mental or physical problems to conquer them. Poor highlanders. I can see your childhood has made you become the inconsolable ignoramus you are today. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
mrmyk
Lionheart, after all those years you seem to have developed a "thick skin" so all the bad words just bounce off you :) Same with me, being stereotypical I seem to have the ability of selective hearing so when most people insult me or say something I just completely ignore it without registering what they said. To boost my self-esteem I play several sports and make full use of actives offered by the school, particularly the social sports such as squash and tennis so you meet more people, become friends with them and then boost your self-esteem because of it. Defender2516
Who keeps feeding the trolls.. And please don't feed them books, they think their intelligent when they use common sense with backstabbing insults. As for me, i'm extreemly shy or extreemly anti-social (except on the internet of course). But thats just me. The Observer
[hide]Dude, you grew up! :) It's that simple. No child goes through their teenage years without some trauma or abuse. Some get it through bullying, but there's other means as well. What they are is irrelevant to this, but the outcome is the same: For those who accept these harsh lessons, recognise them, not necessarily tolerating them, these are the people who'll grow and learn, becoming adults. Wow, you are so ignorant. You can't even imagine what I went through. No point in arguing with you though, you're a stuck up idiot and you know it. What do you want us to do? Cry for you? OK: Read the rest of my message, you moron. Too bad YOU EDITED IT AFTER I posted (or clicked "quote") By the way, I'm still crying for you...if that makes you feel any better.[/hide] What Bubsa's saying is that social anxiety builds character. In Highlander's case, it probably wasn't a good thing, but it sometimes is good for you, if it is mild. Wow, you idiot, sure protect your favorite idiot and blame me. highlanders
Yeah, pretty much I realise that Bubsa was talking to Lionheart, not me. Was easy to get confused. It̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s pretty lame how all those random people came to bash me when I wasn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t even talking to them though. Instead of all those stupid remarks, bubsa could I have said he was talking to lion, not me, and it would have ended there. But all you random people couldn't resist to come and say your dumb litte line. About reb's "apocalypse" comment. You guys go for the generic opinions, and I go for the eccentric and unheardof opinions, and that's it. Grow up, snap out of stupid comments about "apocalypse" and the likes. Does it really matter to you how other people live their life? One would think you have other things to do. But great, I feel flattered, everyone on OF knows who I am now, and I have have a nice little etiquette that screams "I'M CRAZEEYYY!". Its fine, any fame is good. Besides, where the hell did I say apocalypse? Quote the post where I said it, if I did. My message is to be wary of your government and don't let them do anything they want, it's a safe thing to do for anyone, no matter what your beliefs are. assassin_696
What do you care what other people think? That's a tough motto to live by, but the more you try and do it the more your confidence will grow. Personally, i'm very self-conscious, I never really speak without thinking about it, I dread making a joke and not being laughed at and, yeah, generally I do care about what other people think. But the times when I've really gone for it and just done something not caring about how I looked are the times I've really had that confidence boost. But i'm a lot more confident now, i'm just not a total extrovert, but that's just who I am, and that's fine. But yeah, don't worry about it, it's normally just a teenage thing. Jesus, is that you? I feel the same as you do, Lionheart. I went through a lot when I was younger, and I'm still going through a lot. People still tease me and make fun of me. But, it doesn't matter. I don't value anyone's opinion but the opinions of those who are close to me, and my own above all others.
