October 10, 200718 yr hello everybody my name is phycopathic i have a few questions or statements to make. okay so i have recently bought 1,100,000 fire runes and 180,000 chaos runes. that gives me 180,000 casts of FIRE BOLT. total cost of runes? - FIRES - 9 each CHAOS - 130 each TOTAL COST? - 33,300,000 gp now in my opinion i think blue dragons in the heros guild is the best method for profit is the best. why you ask? well lets see here 7 - 10 casts of fire bolts per dragon 1660 gp per dragon is spent killing (10 casts max) dragon drops - 1 bone = 1,500 gp 1 hide = 1500 gp total drop 3,000 gp - 1660 gp = 1340 gp profit now lets go into more detail and add the cost of telle runes when i get a full load of bones and hides i use GLORY TO TELLE TO BANK and then when i bank i use HOUSE TELLE PORT now lets take the 1340 gp profit from above and - the cost of laws and earths. 1340 - 300 - 15 = 1025 gp profit per dragon killed. take out the cost of airs because i am useing AIR STAFF. what do you guys think of my method above? do you have anyother methods? even if they are slightly better? please explain. if you have time to read this you have time to comment.
October 10, 200718 yr With that many fire bolts, I'd say you should go to metal drags. That would get you insane experience and a huge amount of dragon drops.
October 10, 200718 yr I think metal drag if you are very lucky can get you more than 33M with 180k cast. You got to pay for anti fire pots too.
October 10, 200718 yr Author yes you have a good point but then again you risk the following. dieing lossing alot of runes getting no drops at all and come out with almost no profit at all. now you have to add the cost of food, pots, and other equipment that you might possibly need. the cost of the 875 gp to enter the cave to get to them. it all adds up in the end. but you have a good point. alot of dragon drops
October 10, 200718 yr Author fire bolts are cheaper because ypur paying half the cost of the death rune for a cast. therefore 2 extra casts per death bought. i didnt really explain that one that well lol. i hope you understand what im saying lol death 280 each minds 10 each chaos 130 each fires 9 each
October 10, 200718 yr very true, but, more exp per cast... and chance of getting dragon axes, zerker rings and warrior rings.
October 10, 200718 yr Author well i would gladly do it. but i have no body to do it with. no body to explain to me how to get their / kill them / what to bring/ what not to bring.
October 10, 200718 yr Moving this to Help & Advice. Laikrob, Tip.It Moderator You're accusing me of bigotry, how ironic. It's a nice attempt at argument, but your responses are facile and asinine, if not diatribe. Who's arrogant now?

October 11, 200718 yr Fire Bolt Steel Dragons in Brimhaven Dungeon. You'll rarely splash with 86 Magic, you'll gain enough XP to 99 (using Chaos Gauntlets), and you might even get a Visage or two. DO NOT BRING A RING OF WEALTH. Seers Ring is better. Go own some Dragons!!!

October 11, 200718 yr As many people said use on steel dragons in drimhaven. BRING a ring of wealth they 100% work towards drops. -1 Seers Ring will make you kill them faster, thus making it better than a Ring of Wealth. If you can kill 21 Dragons with the Ring in the time it would take to kill 20 without the Seers Ring, it still outpowers the Wealth. Rings of Wealth are N()()B3H

I would also go with iron dragons because you could kill them faster, I honestly don't see why people waste their time with steels, but to each his own. RoW will help in getting Rune items and other things, but it will not increase chances of an amazing drop, like a Visage or Dragon Platelegs. Also, from personal experience, the Wealth stinks. I wore it and killed 100 Irons with nothing but a Rune Med Helm. Took it off and killed 6 more, got a Dragon Plateskirt. It's all probability, blah blah blah, I personally think a Seers is waaay better than a USELESS ROW.

For statistical analysis, you need to observe large quantities of data, at the very least one thousand, if not more trials of each.

Just because you took it off and got a dragon plateskirt doesn't prove that the ring is useless. In fact it doesn't prove anything because you didn't do nearly enough trials. Come back when you kill 5k dragons with it on and 5k dragons without it on. Don't listen to people who don't understand how probability works and just stick to the ring of wealth. It's effectiveness has already been proven by jagex and demonstrated (although not proven) by a player who tested it out on abyssal demons and whips. Seers ring is just +4 magic anyways. 76th to reach 99 Construction on 6th of February 2007379th to reach 99 Runecrafting on 4th of November 2007 Finally the secrets of goal achieving are revealed! October 11, 200718 yr metal dragons, just work out on average how much spell's it takes to get your invo full, and then just take ammount of runes for the rest of your trips :) gl with 99 magic :)
October 12, 200718 yr I personally made a guide to killing Metal Dragons, and I have killed a few hundred to tell you how great it is! 1) Magic experience. Fire bolts w/Chaos Gauntlets = pwnage! You get so much experience from hitting high. I use around 600-800 chaos per trip (I always bring 1k just in case). I don't bury my bones, and I keep all the rune/dragon items I get. Chaos runes are much cheaper than using deaths with slayer dart or with fire blast (blast = 16 max; bolt w/chaos gauntlets = 15 max for less than half the price). I gained a few lvls from just fighting steels/irons. I think irons are much better to fight though, but I will kill around 1k one day just to make an analysis of the frequency of drops from both parties. 2) No food/prayer needed. Most high lvl monsters or even dragons require you to have one or the other, but for this case, you don't. For the price of 1 prayer pot you can buy 2-3 anti-fire pots. Combined with an anti-fire breath shield, you take 0 damage for around 10 minutes per dose. You can easily stay inside for hours on end if you'd like killing hundreds of dragons. Plus, since dragons always range you with their breath, you are in no danger of damage. I personally bring a few sharks for those times I make a mistake. 3) Awesome drops. I've only had a Dragon Spear drop once (a few years ago), and that was pretty cool! I also had a few rune item drops and a lot of other cool stuff as well. In the end, just with the dragon bones you get, you pretty much pay for the runes you have spent. If you sell bones, you come out with a little more than you payed for runes. If you use them for altar, even better =) All in all, I believe that maging steels/irons with chaos gaunts and fire bolt is economically suited for anyone.

It's all probability, blah blah blah, I personally think a Seers is waaay better than a USELESS ROW. That is completely false, the Ring of Wealth increases the chance that you'll get a rare drop. If a Visage or Dragon drop isn't a rare drop, then something's wrong. If you use them for altar, even better =) All in all, I believe that maging steels/irons with chaos gaunts and fire bolt is economically suited for anyone. One thing I'm wondering about... Why only bring a max of 1k bolts? You can bring up to 6k spells with a full inventory of antifire pots. And also, antifire pots last for nearly 6 minutes, not 10 minutes, just fyi. But to answer your question, I would recommend maging irons/steels (depending on your preference), they give some really good drops, with so many bolts you can get a lot of dragon drops and clues, it's good xp and I find it fun. Blue dragons have a decent resistance to magic attacks as well, ranging them is better. So I would say mage metal dragons, but range blue dragons.
October 12, 200718 yr Yeah, I never really counted how long it lasted, but I know it lasted for quite a while. Usually, when I kill steels/irons, I always get a lvl 3 clue scroll after 10 or so kills. I leave afterwards to do the clue because if I do finish it, that means when I come back to kill more dragons, I will have yet another chance at a clue. Even if, for whatever reason, I don't get any good drops from the dragons, the clue scroll usually balances things out (sometimes even moreso) =)
