Ahh another anti-ring of poverty.

Really shows when you get the good drops what a piece of trash it is.

(I got my visage at black dragons. 8 kills with row(nothing) and the lucky 1 without.)

9/10.

IF you had got it with a d drop it would have been 10.

How'd it feel when you saw it lying there?

9 dragons is hardly enough to dermine if row works #-o witch it does, btw. its not like it secretly drains your chances.

on topic, i freaking hate you dude, i spent a week akilling drags and nothing <.< . nah, grats dude, share i tbed? O:)

No, no, no, my friend. This is how it works.

Let's say that there is a new hat that comes out, and it can only be obtained by fighting monsters.

1. Let's say people sold them for around 20M. That's what people are willing to buy/sell for on day 1, but they have no clues on prices. The demand is at its peak, as EVERYONE wants one to show off, since any new item is "rare" on it's debut.

2. More experienced players eventually get the item. They find out it can actually be sold for around 30M. The first batch of people that got them had no clues what prices were. But now it's more stable.

3. As the demand gradually decreases (many people that wanted them "overpayed" around the original date of when they came out), people are forced to sell them cheaper. Since there will be more sellers than buyers, the seller compete to sell to the buyer, for as high as they can. Whereas before, when there were more buyers than sellers, buyers competed to buy from the sellers, as low as they can.

4. The rate of price changed depends on the monster's level, the chance of the item being dropped by the monster, and how much the item costs.

Example:

Dragon boots: High level monsters, but apparently, the chance of dragon boots dropping wasn't all that rare. Many people averaged around 5 boots per trip. Dragon boots are fairly cheap too, compared to Visages (21-22M).

The first batch of people that got them sold them for around 2-3M. But the more experienced people got 3M+ out of them.

Since they weren't too expensive, more people bought them at a quicker rate. The demand declined shortly after, since most people were desperate to buy them, and were willing to overpay / outbid each other to buy them.

Now the sellers have fewer buyers, but a greater amount of people got dragon boots from drops. They started to sell them cheaper everyday, to get rid of them.

The price of dragon boots went from 2-3M to 3M+ in the first day. Now, a few weeks later, they are around 500k.

Now, items that are harder to get (high level monsters and low chance of getting the item), and also very expensive, such as a Visage, has a slow rate of price change.

It may take a few weeks or months for it to drop in value, but nobody can be sure when.

People that are smart take advantage of the economy, either by merchanting, investing, or being there at the right time and place (aka fluke/luck).

To evil: aww just keep killing them eventually you'll get visage :P

The only reason it increased in price was because people initially underestimated its rarity. It will retain its value, until a new (better) shield comes out.
