RayOxide
Mmkay, I was reading someones thread in Rants (here) not long ago, and I saw that they hate Pure Skillers because they train skills... And don't fight... I don't understand it. There are some people that don't train Firemaking or Construction, and.. Skillers don't train fighting stats... Maybe because they don't like fighting... Maybe they had a main with heaps high combat, but low skills, and got bored with fighting... Maybe it's because they like showing people they're a level 3 with loads of cash. I really hate it when I get called a 'noob skiller' or anything, but that's worse. Discuss? ~R.O. I dont need a siggy no moar.
hybrid2hell
Sorry, but if you have a main with really high combat stats and low non combats, what is the point of making an entirely new account, paying an extra 5$ a month, and starting from scratch, when you could just get them up on your main account. Unless of course, your main gets banned and you just make an account that you dont want to train combat stats on . Then i understand  I engineered this thread with precise variables that I know would cause lul-worthy flames.
RayOxide
Nah d00d. It was that I got bored with being a high level and stuff, and I hated combat, so I made a PS. I dont need a siggy no moar.
Tim
same situation Ray, i dont see why we should be looked down upon, were still human, were still players of the horribly graphiced game called runescape so why should we be judged any different from others? Freesia
No offence but I like a nice 1800+ total at combat as low as around lvl 80+ and still being termed a skiller. Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

thisismine
i dont mind them cook me some eggs er sharks =p i think part of it is alot of rs is based around combat, i mean you cant right click to show overall scores. virtually every skill is working into combat some how. with pure non combat skillers it makes it that much easier for bots, if they linked skill levels with combat then the people would loose alot more time every time thier latest group of bots got banned. with combat pures its exploiting jagex's failure to fix their combat triangle that things are supposed to be based on. also with pures of anykind alot of the time they dont bother really "exploring" your sort of see them do the same thing over and over (even more repetitive than normal) and wonder how they can keep doing it ( and they pinch your gold ores's i know ive sen them do it if im there and theres gold in that rock its mine i say!) to sum it up skillers are usually associated with bots or exploiting fixed typo i know this isnt a FPS but if i freeze you can i still yell "Boom headshot" ? Master_Smither
Well I dislike them too.Realy it's because what a waste of time when you could have 1 great account rather than an average 1 a pure skilling 1 and a good pure. RandomKnight
i agree, so what if you dont train combat-some people just prefer other skills over combat, no big deal... I personaly give my respect to lvl 3s who earned loads of money through there skills (not by there main droptrading) You dare question my eccentricities?~The arus are back~
hybrid2hell
Im not saying i have a problem with them, also some do get on my nerves. I see this one kid in edgeville w 1 cooking a lot. His name is "Santaandblkg." I find it hard to believe that he "merchanted" or "skilled" for his Santa hat, and his Black (G). But if making a new account every once in a while is what you like to do, then feel free. iwontpk
I don't like skillers because they always talk about having a main. If you have a main then use it or don't talk about it
RayOxide
^^ Wtf? Not all pure skillers have a main. Infact most of them actually have a PURE SKILLER as a main. And you don't like them because you might call them a noob or lame or something, so to defend their honour they say they have a main -.- I dont need a siggy no moar. The Observer
People hate Pure Skillers because it affects anti-macroer techniques. I'm personally not opposed to them though.
Solidus_77
In the majority of people's eyes, combat is more important than other skills (some claim it's the only thing that matters). And you whining about it ain't gonna change that. As a skiller you're just going to have to expect some discrimination from elitists. The only solution is to not impose this limitation on yourself. Personally I'm not a huge fan of skillers just because the only reason why they became a skiller is to say "Hey everybody look at me, I'm special because I'm only level 3 but with very high stats". I'm ready to acknowledge any of the accomplishments you've made but I don't like people excluding them self from the a large of the game just to feel "special". Not caring much about combat and focusing on skills is one thing, but purposely avoiding anything related to combat is just shooting yourself in the foot, unless to you getting people's attention by being a skiller is extremely important to you. Going out of your way so much just shows that even without having done any combat you already know you hate it, that's not very open-minded now is it? 76th to reach 99 Construction on 6th of February 2007379th to reach 99 Runecrafting on 4th of November 2007 Finally the secrets of goal achieving are revealed! Hoobs
The only problem I have with pure skillers now is the sheer number of them now. Now, if you see a level 3 with a high level, it's like, "meh, he's just a skiller.." There's nothing special about them now. A level 30 with 99 wc is more special than a level 3 with 99 wc now. I_Am_Dudd
People Pure Skillers because it affects anti-macroer techniques. I'm personally not opposed to them though. couldnt be farther from the truth! ive thought of so many ideas to ridding macroes...but pure skillers kinda mess it up...but oh well i personally have a pure skiller, only reason being i can do anything i want on him...when my main account cant hold something like rune ess to craft, i use him I Have Been Stripped of my Own Glory...
