People just don't get the difference...

Featured Replies

Honestly, I'm tired of this. People throw around the word noob all the time, and they don't even know what it really means! There are two words that are very similar in appearance, yet completely different in meaning.

First, there's newb- a low leveled player or someone who is new to the game.

And there's noob- an obnoxious or otherwise mean player who tries to ruin the game for others.

I get called noob constantly. And even though it's used as an insult, I'd feel better if people actually knew what they were calling me. Every time someone calls me a noob, I go, do you even know what that means? They give me the definition of newb, and then we get start yelling at eachother in an arguement that I end up losing because of the global ignorance of Runescape players.

It makes me so freaking mad, for such a weird reason. >_<

Hello friend, Senajitkaushik was epic, Good luck bro.

This is something along the lines of rant #1,269,452 about the word 'noob', if you're counting the RSOF... Same response as every other time; Noob is a word used to describe anything/anyone the user doesn't like. 'Nuff said.

There is no meaning or truth in life but that which we create for ourselves.

No, theres no difference, theres no different variants pending the word's spelling, it means what it meant at the time of its inception years ago. Anything else is wrong.

Metal fans, check out my band!

Still the King....

Noob is used as an insult for anyone nowadays. A substitute for "f u" if you will.

um,Not a word in the English language well, 62 waves plus a jadNot a word in the English language, should probably be capitalized. There is one small thing wrong with your kit. Food may be helpful.

Learn to type yourself, and then you may correct the errors of others.

Actually, a more appropriate analogy would be that noob is used as a substitute for the insult "gay," which is HIGHLY overused by prepubescent and early adolescent children. Both words completely lost their meaning due to extensive overuse, and both words smack of immaturity and a lack of creativity and/or intelligence.

Don't you mean, kindly learn how to write in English? Your issue is with his usage of the words, structure, and understanding of the meaning of the words. Not with his ability to type them.

As others have said, there have been many threads about this. Use the search button next time.

I engineered this thread with precise variables that I know would cause lul-worthy flames.
