Thought Jagex made it where you could log onto world 2 like that. I tried to make a link from desktop and it just brought up the main page.

I think his point is that it's illegal to directly link to World 2 and you should go through the main page and world select like everyone else.

You have to have javascript off for it to work.

This is illegal anyway. I suggest being patient and getting in like most do. It doesn't usually take that long anyway...

I can explain why it hasn't been locked...

 

 

 

In this picture someone sent to Jagex they asked if it was illegal to make a desktop shortcut, when the guide tells you how to make a html file to bypass the navigation of the site and not how to make a desktop shortcut. Although i have reported the guide multiple times all of the moderators have just seen this picture, not thought about it properly, and let the guide live. :x

 

 

 

1stly, this isn't illegal. I shared the view as a mod, and I do so now aswell.

 

 

 

If don't want to have to go through that guide, find the link to world 2 etc follow this quick walkthrough:

 

 

 

Open notepad (often found in accessories in your Start --> all programs menu.)

 

 

 

Copy this in exactly:

now press "Save as" and save as world2.htm, remember the .htm or it won't work. :wink:

 

Every now and then the link changes (I think), and that's the current one.

Can you do this same thing for world 99 just so you don't have to click through everything?

If you firefox u can get back the last page u visited....

 

So enter world too and when u open firefox there will be :D

Even if it doesn't count as a going through a 3rd party program, it still provides unfair advantages and bypasses the world select page, so I think it should be illegal but I suppose that doesn't matter. Suppose I'll have to take it up with Andrew if I want it changed. :XD:

not illegal there el capitan. unless you have proof from a jagex mod saying otherwise then it is legal.... i myself have talked to a mod and she said it was ok.
