Alas, it seems that we will not be getting this game for a while :( . My brother's birthday was today, but all he gets are two lame DS games. He has fallen victim to ignorant parents. Kid needs to learn how to tell them what he actually wants, as they have no clue what to look for in a game.

And I recently bought myself FE, so it looks like Christmas for Galaxy.

Do you guys think its worth the $50 if I didn't like Mario64/Sunshine that much? I was thinking of getting it, but I wasn't sure based on my experiences with the N64 and GameCube Mario games.

That's a tough one. I'm going to say rent it and if you truely like it buy it.

Quit RuneScape :)

I love the game. Aside from a few outliers (*cough* Bouldergeist in the Mansion Galaxy... *cough*) It's right around my challenge level. My only complaint is that it seems to be over fairly quickly. I've had it for only two days and I'm already on the third dome (Kitchen) and am about to beat it.

The game is a fair bit like Sunshine, aside from a few "minor" details. OK, they're really not that much alike, but its kind of the same concept. If you didn't like Sunshine that much then I would agree with someone who posted before me and say to rent the game before you buy it. Or just go to Gamestop or some other store and try it out on those little preview stations they have set up.

Well, I now have 88 power stars and am on the last observatory, and I've gotta say, the game's too easy. I love it, but it just doesn't seem as difficult as 64 and Sunshine were. Also looking to be too short...I don't know how many stars are left, but on the worlds I've finished I have 5 or 6 (guessing 8 per world, I just don't have anymore available in the earlier worlds :( ). Very fun though, has me hooked.

Super Mario Galaxy is officially the highest rated game in history.

I don't exactly see how it's "surprising" that the top rated video games are from Nintendo.

Sony makes crappy franchise and license game sequels, but also the occassional good, inspiring game (like Final Fantasy). Microsoft makes the occassional worthwhile game like Halo or Assassin's Creed, but mostly plays their cards on good graphics and lame gameplay.

I have a 360, but I also have access to my friend's Wii. If I just want to have fun, I'd play a random FPS game for an hour or two. If I want to play a game when I have nothing to do on a rainy day and get into a storyline/good gameplay as if it were a good movie or book, I'll play games made by Nintendo.

Since Sega, there haven't even been any serious contesters to Nintendo for making the best game's (gameplay wise, not graphcis). They never concentrated on extra junk like CD players, MP3 etc.

The first FFantasy games were made for Nintendo systems though, so that's not an exclusive either...

 :o :-s

I beat it already, it was good, but not enough to be the number one imo. It had every mixture you'd want for a Mario game, but the best game of all time? Heh, guess it's possible, but I think Ocarina will be the most epic adventure.

Next, we see Zelda Ocarina of time get it's Wii remake...And most likely come out on top...Again.

Hoping to get a new Signature (with matching avatar) soon. :D

In the meantime...Steam username: )I'll rewrite it later (add me if you want)

I hope they do make a remake of Ocarina of Time on the Wii. That or A Link to The Past.

Whoa, I don't agree that it's better than OOT, but SMG was pretty friggin' awesome. Surely the best Wii game yet, and as of yet the only reason I have for possibly getting a Wii at all (still waiting for a Wii Zelda, no, TP does not count).

This weekend was awesome, playing up 'til the ice level, getting the suit, and all that stuff, sweet. I'd say I think the game is harder than SM64, though, cause that game doesn't really challenge you, the speed comets in SMG can be abit tricky and generally the courses tend to challenge you more, they all kinda feel like rainbow ride from SM64, except that most of the time you can't fall off :P

Galaxy doesn't come close to Ocarina of Time imo.

Why the hell not? My god, TP was amazing, and alot more fun on the Wii than on the GC. TP is most definitely a Wii Zelda.
