November 12, 200718 yr I have a member friend and she's a staker. Lately she's gotten sick of people who empty out DD specials on her (Happens in Wildy too when she's doing her treasure trails). So, my question is: is there any way to survive 4 DDS's without expensive armour and Protect from Melee?
November 12, 200718 yr Any armour will, to a degree, negate the damage done by a DDS. Just donning a simple Steel Plate and legs should make it much less likely that they'll hit you. Tell her to search for clothes/armour which have a high slash defense bonus, and take anti-poisons with her on Treasure Trails.

November 12, 200718 yr If you don't want people to use dds specs while staking then just turn off the special option :roll: As for the wild.. protect melee, super def pot, good armour.. standard stuff. Although if you're 1 def, dds will rip through you like a hot knife through butter.
November 13, 200718 yr Sara brew or super defence with armour? You can't really stop DDS specs from hitting, maybe try entangle or ice in ancients. Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

November 13, 200718 yr With just basic rune armor and 68 def I usually get hit a bunch of 0s and 5s by DDSes. They aren't that deadly. But if she must, just use protect from melee prayer when you see someone coming in the wildy, or log out, or something. As for the dueling part.. Either turn off specs or bring your own DDS. Barrow Drops: Guthan's Helm, Karil's Crossbow.5 Pieces of the Crystal Key so far. I would never consider meeting people irl. Not just because of risks that they could be a 40 year old man who is only interested in the bottom half of your body.
November 13, 200718 yr for tt in wildy: just take dss and the stuff needed for clue (spade, map, kompas, sextant) and when you see trouble comming, drop all (maybe teletab too) works fine for me

The DDS special is a slash attack.
