Over the years [5 to be exact] i've realized all the flaws with runescape. It didn't start till about 2006.

 

 

 

 

 

Today, while I had today off and many didn't i realized the drop of players. About 300,000 to be exact. I decided to go fish some, walk past all the willows were there are about 30 lvl 3 autoers and there are about 5. While I don't mind that half the runescape population is under 13. I do mind when kids who aren't even in highschool play about 8 hours a day on a weekend, use real money to get rs money, and have autoers! I mean these kids usually are watching shows on nickelodeon [Not dissing anyone who does]. I think runescape needs to make like Japan and limit game play a day. I mean if your above 18 and you want to spend 18 hours a day playing a game which gets you know where in live. Go ahead.

 

 

 

Scamming, most people get scammed. Its not because your careless or ignorant its because scammers get smarter everyday. One thing runescape did do for me was change my life, i realized not to trust everyone, and people do anything for money. I remember back in 2002-2004 if you were in a bank and someone was trying to scam you everyone yell scam. Now nobody cares i mean who cares if that kid who has saved his whole time on rs for that santa is about to get lured, and who cares if he kills himself because he had a horrible life and that crossed the line. People, its happened MANY time before. People lose their p hats and hang themselves. I've personally known a guy over RS who tried to kill himself because he lost his 80 something account to some 30 years old guy.

 

 

 

Ever since slayer came out this game has been so easy a person with a IQ of 40 could easily get 50 + in everyskill. YOU HAVE TO JUMP A DITCH NOW AND CLICK YES, I WANT TO GO INTO THE WILDERNESS WHERE I MIGHT HAVE A CHANCE OF DYING, JUST TO PROTECT THESE 12 YEAR OLDS MITH ARMOUR! This is where I got the idea of noobscape, its designed so people think they beat f2p and buy members. jagex dosen't truly care about kids crying to their parents, they care about their parents crying for a lawsuit cause oh little jimmy died on runescape, grabbed a real life axe and thought he would be better than everybody on the highscores if he slaughtered his real life friends. Now theres the make X to help little kids from gettin arthritis when they grow up. Runescape used to take tactic to do good. Now it takes click. very difficult.

 

 

 

 

 

Autoers. Who likes autoers? DEFINATLEY NOT ME. :wall: i remember only about 2 years ago I saw a girl autoing coal. I thought she was a hero. Now, if you start a sentance saying "OMG I just saw a autoer" people walk away. Those are what have ruined the game the most. 1/2 of those lvl 60's walking around with full phat sets, drag, and 150m extra, yeah, how do you think they got that cash...

I disagree, simply walking across the bridge to the fairy ring has put me in the wilderness before. You must realize that before the ditch it went from safe to incredibly dangerous without even changing scenery. move one tile to far, bam. Dead. That was unfair in a spot assumed to be safe. I am in no way a noob and I use barrows armor not mith, I'm not giving my expensive gear to some jerk because I moved one tile to far north.

Worst generalizing I've seen in my Runescape career. I have to wonder if it's generalizing... 1/2 the people of lvl 60s have full phat sets, give me a damn break. Know things before you talk, phats are some of the rarest items in the whole game, how the HELL would lvl 60s have phats, 150m(most 60s dream of dragon), and full drag?

 

Also, the person cutting a mage log at lvl 2 with assist, is abosultely pathetic. Who in the world does that...? I haven't seen an update where This rant is absolutely pathetc... Honestly I doubt you've played Runescape for one month. Saying such things like, "the ditch update is stupid, it's noobscape", lvl 2 woodcutters can cut magics with assist(who does that)?, half of the lvl 60s have 100+ mil, and phat sets, shows your extreme lack of knowledge regarding Runescape.

+1 and btw, its the Chinese people that auto for money 'cause they can't get a job because China is so populated and they have to sit in a sweetshop playing rs 8 hours a day to sell some rs gp for a living..

Thats the way of the wrold nowadays, I have a niece and a nephew and ill happily let them stay in all weekend all evening and play games, or I could do the alternative - Let them go outside, get drunk on cider, smoke, take drugs and have underage sex

No offense, but this is why RS is played by 13 year olds mainly (not saying you are). OH NO, HANG ON KIDS THERES A DANGEROUS WILDERNESS. I basicly laugh with it, in classic a lot of fighting was in wild level 1, if you walked in accidentely you had 100 times more chance of dieing then in RS2. How the hell can you die so quick in lvl 1 wild in RS2? Ok, even when you get frozen you can still escape.

 

 

 

Mentality of JAGeX (quantity > quality) which is perfectly acceptable for a company, but they had better spend some more time on how to make the game really hard. Is there anything in RS that you can reach with really being good in something? With thinking smart? No. All 99's can be reached with mindless clicking and maybe duelling is one of the few things that is really hard because it involves other players to reach something.

I think it's also 16-18 teenagers who see RS as entertainment and a good way to get some extra pocket money. And how do you have no life when you auto? (I don't do it, but just guessing) Autoing means you don't need to sit behind you screen, so you have more time to do other stuff then when you actually play RS.

yeah jagex make rs more and more for babies everyday. before i finished secondary school i always saw year 7s who where 4 foot tall talking about rs, complete nerds, but i bet on rs they say "gf s0n" and go around flaming people etc who are much bigger than them irl... on rs classic they wouldve played it for a week then gave up. pretty much all "autoers" are gold farmers from china etc, rs gp is worth so little that (in europe/america etc) a minnimum wage job makes much more cash than even autoing a 91 rc char, nvm "suicide banning" chars.

you are acting like playing rs underage is like drinking underage by how you word it. the guy who killed himself was 14, and it is always bad when someone commits suicide due to anything, the worst thing is though that guy set them up and caused it to happen... in rs classic/early rs2 before the mass signups of 12 year olds and less from miniclip happened, now the game is filled by ignorant kids who havent hit puberty yet and think the world revolves around them, and because theres so many of them, theres loads of updates based around making them safer because rather than learning from their mistakes they have a tantrum.

Ironically I began playing this game when I was thirteen (six years ago) and looking back, I was more or less a big newbie when it came to online games and socialising with strangers online. With experience I've matured through that phase and some people actually took me as an example!

If you're scammed in Runescape, it's basically your fault... Jagex doesn't have a government to help you "recover" after you get scammed. What gives? I hope you don't have that attitude for everthing. Mind you, some people in real life are in serious trouble with a couple of words; Sub prime Mortgages. These are very risky mortgages for people with poor credit. Lots of people are facing foreclosure. Would you give sympathy for every single one of these people who may lose their houses? Some of these people have no idea of what their mortgages are. This relates to Runescape. If you were scammed into buying a "rare", you would should have been informed, before buying an empty box for 1mil :-w . If people in Runescape, and Real life were better informed about products, decisions, mortgages, etc, I think this world would be better off...

First, that would kill the game. Second, it is your choice if you want to play for 10 hours non-stop. I don't play as much because I have real life goals I want to acheive and RS is just a brief break. If someone plays for 72 hours and dies, is it Jagex's fault or the guy's fault? a lot of those changes, especially the wilderness ditch, were because people proved that the community in general had been abusing the priveledge of open wilderness. those few ruin it for everyone, so really, instead of blaming the new player that felt like exploring, blame the lurers.

 

the assist system removed the risk of being trust-scammed while using a skill. sure, a level 7 smith can craft a dragonfire shield, but it beats giving a draconic visage to a total stranger and hoping that he gives back the full shield, or giving an onyx to a 'crafter'.
