Clan Chat Spammers

Didn't you take a picture of gaara warning you not to ask questions that usually make spam then you asked another question? I guess you must be blind while you *sloppily* edited that pic then.

 

 

 

But getting back to the point, I wish we could do this. But all we can do right now is fill up our ignore lists, and *referring back to lightning chat* wait for Adam/lady/any other chat mod to tell us that he/she/it/table cloth/whatever it is*referring to the spammer*... is muted.

The whole "you getting kicked" thing is way over. Come back if you like, but be cautious to your actions next time because I AM SURE that gaara did not kick you for no reason or by accident because most of the spammers are muted by now and by what people said, there was no spammers in that chat that day besides yourself.

Grow up and move on. It's just a game yet you seem to be getting so angry over it. Fair enough if someone had hacked your account and stolen that party hat you'd been saving for for 2 years, but you were kicked from a chat channel that you could have easily rejoined within an hour. It's really petty how annoyed you are about this lol

lightning chat is empty because the mods are all inactive or terrible, so spammers just use the "jumping technique" if mods are on, but most of the time there is no mods. the mods just ban innocent people for random reasons or "By accident" because of their name taking the space of a spammers name when the spammer uses the jumping technique (probably jsut an excuse to kick random people though)

 

 

 

wow. wtf is your problem? all the mods are nice, and there is rarely a time when there are no mods. I created this thread to discuss spammers, not to flame Lightning's chat. -.-

on my chat i gt spammers and stuff and its anoying BUT u can ask everyone to leave except owner/mods so when the spammer comes on no one will get kiked except the spammer

Lightning chat first of all is only empty in the wee morning or times when people are sleeping. It is usually crowded, and full of good conversation. Me and along with other mods usually ignore them at first, especially if they are a spammer that we know have good reflexes (example: Rsw44 Spam, Aura Reigns, Adamrexispam) and just try to talk them into how pathetically they are spamming until they stop. You should not wrap yourself into flaming the Lighning clan chat moderators as you got kicked there once and you are now angry. People do have proof you did spam at that time. I dont think you should fret over being kicked once for spamming at lightning chat and instead move on, and if you want to come to the channel and join the convo with us, go ahead.

You were referring to lightning chat? The owner of the chat isn't even active in RS nor TIF anymore. She could just add them to ignore list and those people are permanently banned from chat.

 

 

 

Ahh... Yes, we all know she's gone. :cry: But your statement makes no sense. You say she's gone, then say she could just add them to ignore. Huh? Anyway, her chat remains active. I was referring to the fact that without the leader online, there is almost no way to get the spammers off the channel.

 

I meant if she was still around, adding them to ignore could permanently prevent them from entering the chat. Mods could also stare at the list and kick the instant they enter, but kicking only restricts entry for next 1 hour. Your best solution is however, just report them and add them to your ignore

I thought if they're in your ignore list, they can't join your chat. So, while you may not be able to ban them cause they leave before you are able to, just add them to your ignore list and they can't join.

As a member of many RS fansites, I would like to speak on behalf of Sals Realm, who many are blaming for the spammage. There are a couple of noob jerks who are giving Sals a bad name, and I am sorry for that.

 

 

 

I am doing everything I can to expose them to other members of Sals Realm and put a stop to this fansite rivalry. We all have our strengths, and can coexist peacefully. If you have any screenshots of spamming, post them in the following Sals topic.

Ganja_Sabre, thank you for taking the time to come here and apologise. I agree that every single fansite and their members can get along peacefully without resorting to childish behaviour shown by those few idiots trying to aggravate other fansites.

Well spammers are part of every clan channel I guess. They exist because *refer to my siggy* But at least Adam and I discovered something really interesting which will of course be forwarded to the whoever will make the new channel.

Even if it was hosted by an active account, many people just don't have room on their ignore list, and the owner isn't on all the time. The lesser chat mods can't do anything about spammers then, and that's what I want to change.
