Actually, it's became hidden forum on the 20th of november, as there was a sticky telling everyone this. You need to login to the forums with an account that can go on RSC, and the forum will appear.

However, I think its a good idea. Everytime I was bored on RSOF, id find my way to the RSC forums and see a bunch of threads as follows.

It's sorta sad to see that theyre slowly taking away rsc :shock:

The RSC forums have been privatized, only people with an active RSC account and posted in the sticky can use them.

 

 

 

It was done because about 70% of the threads there were about RS2, or spam. :(

And yes, the RSC forums have been made visible only to those with RSC accounts. It should do well to cut down the spam that goes on there, and gives RSC players a little bit of well deserved privacy.

 

 

 

No. I didn't login to my RS2 account for 364 days (yes, 1 day off year!) and it didn't get deleted.

You're correct, the wording on the website is really, really poorly worded

 

 

 

the way it works according to the website "Note: If you haven't already played Runescape Classic at least once in the last 6 months on your account, you will not be able to login. You will instead get the message "Unexpected server response". This is deliberate"

 

 

 

They meant "at the time of this message, if you haven't already played runescape classic at least once on your account, you will not be able to login"

 

 

 

They probably meant to timestamp that post but forget. I let my account sit 200+ days once already and was fine

I'm surprised everyone is surprised about this. Considering noone knew it was going to happen, no one must have cared enough to browse thourgh it. A couple months ago Mod Dave made a few posts to see who supported the idea. It was supposed to come sooner, but it finally came through :). The forum seems alot more tight knit since the removal of rs2 accounts also.

On topic: it seems a pretty logical thing for jagex to do. I don't think they'll get rid of RSC altogether, i think it shows how runescape has progressed.

I think it would be good for RSC to end
