Ravenkana
Yesterday I put up 1000 natures at the market price. One day later none have sold. So, to see if any other people are selling natures, i buy one for the market price on the Grand Exchange. At that same moment one of my natures sold. I collected both money and the rune, and put them in my bank. A few second later it clicked; the rune I had just bought was my own! I could be wrong... but I don't think I am. If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system. Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased. The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? mrrogers
no new economy is completely balanced at first. the rpices will level out after time. i think in 2 weeks the market prices will be a lot fairer. as players, we must give these things time. I'd call that Bug Abuse, but I think that's purely unintentional... That's not a bug abuse, that's price manipulation. Consider: Clan A wants to lower price of Santas (in an attempt to cause people to sell more santas to corner the market for an upswing). So, they put 500 santas on sale for low end. They constantly buy and sell at the low end for over a month, forcing a drop in prices. This brings out the scaredy cats to put their santas up for sale (before the prices drop further). BAMM! CLan A buys up the cheap santas and now only sells at the high end end, forcing an upswing and mass profit. Now, its a risky attempt as other players will be buying the Santas at the low end too. Still, there's the method for the abuse. Solution: Prevention is You CANNOT sell an item you have a buy bid on, You CANNOT buy an item you have a sell bid on. Mass trading of Items (buying and selling an item over and over at the same price) can then be tracked to determine if its collusion (One buying, one selling then switching roles after that). Randox
Its not like JageX is changing the prices manually. Aren't they? No they are not on a grand scale. That is for prices that are way off like Rune boots 181k (Now 85k) And lava battlestaff 60k. Because it would take a few days before these would touch the "real" market price for these items. Jagex will only intervine for 1 of 2 reasons. 1. Over time price manipulation is a possibility. If there countermesures fail then they will correct the price as needed. 2. They may lower prices if inflation gets to out of hand (prices increse to much to fast). This is reasonable considering realworld governments manipulate things to help reduce inflation in the real world. This means we wont hav eto rely solely on gold sinks in the future. Zibl
Ah the joys of a planned economy. What?. They are changed according to the player trades. What has that to do with planned economy? Its an automatic system changing by a maximum of 5% each day. Its not like JageX is changing the prices manually. Yes, but the prices were initially SET manually. Some of the prices are right on target while others are just plain stupid  . Plus, the rares market is dead (not saying that as a merchant... but speaking for everyone with rares). Rares could rise and fall by the millions in a single day while now, IF they rise, it will be sloooooooooooooooooooooooow. Plus the wide gap in rare prices means you wouldnt be able to sell for hardly any gain if you wanted to. Example: Green H'ween masks sell from like... 17.4m to 18.6m. You KNOW nobody is going to buy in the 18 millions, so you are forced to sell for lower. In turn lowering the prices over time. Get my drift?
